Developers Should Put A Jail In PWI Like When U Get Banned U Go To That Jail And Spend Your Banned Days In There. :P And Should Be Like 24 Hours Ban Time Or More. >:D And Would Be Cool If A GM Would Keep U Company There. b:victory Well Thats My Suggestion And Would Be Cool If It Would Happen b:laughb:cool Hehe Maybe A GM Shouldnt keep u Company Just U Alone And Chat With Your Friends, Faction etc. And Plz Reply Tell Me What U Think About My Suggestion!

No, the point of being banned is to bannish them from using the service. Making them get locked up in a in-game jail will most likely encourage players to break the rules whether just because they want to see what it's like or talk to their jailed friends or because they can still log in and 'play', even if it would eventually bore most to death.

In another MMORPG I used to play red named PKers that were killed by guards or other players were sent to a jail and it was never enough to discourage many.

I disagree. A jail isn't a bad idea but she may be right in the sense of it encouraging others to break the rules to see it.

I do believe in punishment and that flat out banishment is extreme so here is what I think would be more appropriate.

I think people should be muted for a few days. I have seen this in other MMO's and it really does make the game play brutally difficult. This prevents people from loosing everything over a minuscule "crime" yet gets the point through that rule breaking will not be tolerated.

Finally, I think that banishment still should be an option for repeat offenders or extreme "crimes" such as hacking.

Maybe a jail/prison breakout can be an instance/quest if not a method of punishment for players.

and now I have images passing through my head of a winged elf dropping the soap in a shower room full of barbarians... Oh great, did I pass them on to you?

I agree with Drazo- WTMFH!!!!!!!!!! 2 DRAZOS!!!!!!! AND IT'S SPELLED EXACTLY THE SAME!!! IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!!!????b:questionb:puzzledb:faint

This idea is dumb. It would encourage people to break the rules. Hell, if they made a jail, even I'd break the rules just to see it. The alure of the unknown is too much for the human mind to resist.

Of course, the point of a punishment is to torcher a violator so that they know not to break the rules ever again. I know that being able to log in, walk around, check all your windows like the faction window and your stats an quests and everything, but being locked up in a small cage is torcher. So you got your good and your bad with this suggestion.

Would people be eager to break the rules if the punishment consisted of actually spending online game-time "in jail". And naturally with very limited chat.

Maybe a jail could be implemented in some ways. Here's the thing:

A player breaks a rule. The rule being broken is too sever to be let off with just a warning, but not bad enough that an all out ban is needed. So, that player gets sent to jail. He is limited in what kinds of chat he can use. Pretty much just whisper might be enough (and they can only respond, not whisper someone themselves). He can't open his friend, faction, quest, or inventory windows, can't use skills of any kind, and has to stay in there for a set period of time. This last one means, that there would be a timer that only counts down while logged in, and stops while logged out. This way, the player can't simply wait it out offline.

This serves as an in game punishment, while still discouraging players from wanting to go into it, since they wouldn't be able to do anything but talk to one person at a time, and only if that person talks first.

They could also have a sort of 'three strikes' system. First would be a GM warning, second would be jail time, and third would be a ban.

Great way to make a lot of money too....

    1. Let them break rules.
    2. Send to jail.
    3. Hope they'll buy lots of community chests so they can get out of jail.
    4. Go to 1.

I think a good jail would be to take away their armor, weapons, chat, items and skills. Then put them in a FB and the only way to get out is to solo it.
