How long is update taking you?

I've been updating since 10:00 A.M. and it's now 11:55 A.M. and my updater is only at 10%



I keep getting errors every 30 seconds and sometimes it just freezes at 1 part for like 20 minutes til i gotta close, open, and continue update

    Have you tried the manual one? the regular patch has been running for a while on my system

    I used manual patch and was on the server within 5 minutes of them being back up. b:victory

    i go to http://pwi.perfectworld.com/download then scroll down and select 'Patch 144-161: Released 07/22/09' right?

    Question, does the manual patch work if the automatic update has already been started ? and also the same question as the person before me, is that the correct choice for the manual patch ?

    since 10am and it is now 208pm, but i also have 2 pcs updating it too tho

    So the manual patch is faster, and I should get in the game faster that way ?

    Yes, it will still work even if you've partially patched through the normal method.

    Yep! I just did this.

    Everyone with patching issues read this. I spent 30 minutes trying to patch from the launcher. If you have version 144, download the newest patch version

    http://pwi.perfectworld.com/download

    then close your patcher, and double click the manual patch once it's finished downloading. I'm good to go!

    Yes it works. Just stop the automatic patch/exit the updater and then launch the patch file you downloaded.

    Yes, that's the correct choice.

    Yep, the manual patch does appear to be a lot faster.......even if it is a total of 1 hour 15 mins for me b:sad

    My man had been doing an auto update for 10 hrs and was just about finished when he decided to try the manual patch. He was up and running in 5 minutes.

    so i worked the midnight shift and got home at 6 am this morning, i started up pwi and went to sleep thinking "it'll be ready to play by the time i wake up". it is now 4:30 pm and its about 95% complete, this is one hell of a patch you guys added, hope its worth the wait

    Do you think the GM's have a magic easy button from staples? They aren't even in charge of the patches, nor the updates. Its not their fault whatsoever. What does stink is that they are yelled at, griped at, cursed at and put at fault for things that they have NO control over. They are just here to clean up the mess.

    Please think about what you are going to say before you say it. The GM's are our friends. They are here to help us. Its kind of like buying a bad computer, its not the retailers fault, its the company who made them. Learn who the proper person to gripe at would be!!!!!! Besides with the GM's AMAZING gear they get, you couldn't even begin to try :)

    This should be the official hug a gm day sheesh. They put up with so much!
