Please help!

I want to try out this new game because it looks cool. However I am having difficulties with the updates process. After it updates, I get an error . It is my first time downloading this game. I heard that you can also Manually patch it. So I went to the download section and downloaded 144-161. I tried patching it but it said " cannot list previous files" or something like that.

please I need help
