why is the new updates taking forever to update?

    The same thing was happening to me. I decided to manually download the patch, and it's going much faster now. You might try that and see if it speeds the download along.

    5hrs for me and I am ~10% ^^ but I know the reason, so I am not going to blame anyone except one single person *glares*

    Reason being, this thing is over 315mb in size. o.o

    Seems there must be huge amount of future content being planned. I'm trying manually downloading myself atm, I'll let you all know if it goes any faster this way ^_^

    Using the patch update directly from the application got me no where fast. After about an hour I'd barely made a dent in it. Pulling the patch directly from the website though and downloading it I finished patching in 7 minutes.

    Manual patch update FTW!!!

    Yeah i read it and ive tried the manual patch twice, each time when i double clicked it I got a corrupted file error. I went through the help topics and double checked i was doing the manual correct and still no results..... sad this patch is taking as long as the game client did to download 6 months ago. I have a new pc, and a dsl connection that normal downloads patches in minutes,,even the genie patch only took about 10 min. This is more than aggrovating.
