    You craft the items and then there is a chance of it getting the stars. You can not add stars to an already existing item.

    2* equips have little higher stats then the normal 1* gear and so on.

    Thanks for putting this up. I'm only lvl 43 but want to get started manufacturing these so I'm not behind on making my armor. I remember watching my husband when he got to this point, freaking out because it was soooo expencive. Thanks again!

    Do you have to get the quest from someone, or do you just craft those items and that will increase your crafting points to the next level?

    The elder gives the quest for level 4 starting at level 50 and for level 6 starting at level 80. The level 8 crafting quests start at level 99. There are no low-level crafting mules in this game. b:pleased

    Is there any way to influence the number of stars in manufacturing? I have manufactured 6+ of stoneblood bazubands for tailor quest but no joy on a 2*... Don't know if it is worth the trouble and cost at all.

    Isnt Hermits cape a lvl 7 item?
    Shouldnt you have to craft a lvl 9 item instead of lvl 7?..

    I've been able to increase my tailor crafting skill to 26/30 by crafting 2* items. That seems to be the only way to increase it toward 30.

    Ideally, yes, but for whatever reason this is what we have to do. With that in mind it would be wise for level 4 tailors to focus on making 2 star Hermits Capes. If you wait until you are level 5 and get the test you will not be able to get any skill ups when you try to make Hermits Capes. Plus, since there is no test to get from level 4 to 5, you have to make 15 items none of which will sell extremely well. By making 15 Hermits Capes you can get the 2 star you need for your next test and make a decent profit off any extra 2 star capes you make (as well as the 3 stars you make of course).

    You have to craft the highest lvl items you can in order to raise it from one lvl to the next (aside from the lvl's that require quests). You do not have to craft 2* items, e.g. an item that is lvl 4 for raising lvl 4 to lvl 5.

    If you craft at a lucky person, you will have an increased rate of starred items. I've never done this, at least not intentionally. You can also buy the 2* items in the auction house or from other players.

    If you mean the items you need to get a higher skill: no, you don't have to make them yourself.
    As Wolfgang said: you can buy them from other players.

    so for blacksmith lvl 4 you only need one of the mentioned weapons, thought you need 2.

    now i got 2 **ornamented bows. i think they might sell very well since many people want them to lvl up blacksmith.

    So you only need 1 of each weapon?

    Ok, I am level 33. I reached level 3 for tailor, blacksmith, and craftsman, and proceeded to make 10 more level 3 items for each craft. I reached 100%, but now, not sure how to get my level 4 qualification. Do I have to also do the level 4 quests, or does that come after I am level 4? Thank you.

    Thank you very much for this guide. It's extremely helpful. I do have a question though. For the level 6 Tailoring quest you put down Cloudcrash. Thats a weapon. Are you sure about that?b:sad

    question: my tailor is lv 5 atm but i can't decompose lv 5 *** gear. I even tried all tailors over the whole map. I also repaired them but still can't.
    What am i doing wrong?b:sad

    @Seifer: go back to blackmsith/tailor/crafstman and u can get it again.
