Axe's accuracy?

Do axes miss more because the user's lower accuracy due to lower dex build or do axes as weapons has a build-in higher miss rate? Guess what I'm asking is will the same BM misses more with axes than let's say, a sword?

"Yup" as in the same BM with the same amount of accuracy will miss more using an axe than sword or spear?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

it all comes down to your build and gears.
if you are using the tank build and have crappy gears, you will miss a bit.
however, if you are smart and not putting dex just to wear gears, and have decent gears, you won't miss much, for pve, at least.
as for pvp, your job is to kill robies and LAs. for robes, they don't have any dex, so you won't miss. for LAs, you will always pop accuracy pots, no matter what build or equipments you have.
axe users having less accuracy is only a myths and is only experienced by those who are not bright enough to know the importance of dex.0 -

Thanks, but that's not what I'm asking. Kill robies, using acc powder, etc, that's given. My question was that does your miss rate only depends on your accuracy (and their evasion) or do different weapon types have a build-in miss rates as well that factor into the finally hit-miss calculation.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Well no one here can actually calculate and compare the difference between weapons "miss rates", im not a developer but im guessing this game has some sort of random engine for such like, miss rates, accuracy, eva, crit rate minimum-maximum dmg and so on so forth and its possible that the engine bases its equation on weapons, stats, gears, lvls and situations(such as duels, mobs, bosses,tw and so on so forth) But basing on my experience as a fist/hybrid bm-(meaning im BM with mid/high dex and use all 4 weapons) when im using normal fist(no special stats) on a duel against another BM my lvl (disregard atk rate) i hit like 8 out of 10 atks i made, but when im using normal axes i hit like 6 out of 10 atks i made but then again when i counted again on another duel with the same person same weapons, the count changes. That is one example of how i made my hypothesis on that maybe this game has a special engine to balance things out. MAYBE axe were meant to miss most of its atk since it has spike dmg s0 players would need to depend on accuracy modifying pots and gears same possibility may apply to other weapons such as swords, fist, and pole, to classes such as mages and ranged but that is only a guess, that i seem to have notice, so i guess miss rates, crit rates and so on so forth vary depending on class, weapons and gears(type of mob/player u are hitting)0

Alkaiza is correct. There IS a system. It's called an RNG: Random Number Generator. It's like a raffle, or drawing. Having more dex = better chances of hitting. If you fight a high dex opponent, they have more raffle tickets for YOUR miss =D If they're dex is mid rate, proably 50 50 chance depending on your own dex. Low dex? You'll probably decimate them lol. Either way, the whole *Axes are miss-a-lots* myth is... oh I just said it lol. Yeah it's a myth. Axes are good for AOE and stun. Polearms have less basic damage, but higher skill damage and range. (I'm guessing the skills are harder-hitters than axes?) Swords are... okay... and fists are not PvP based at all.0

Basically, it's purely dependent on dexterity and gear. Axes have NO "built in" accuracy reduction. Nor do swords have an "built in" accuracy boost.
An axe user with 50 dex and no gear will have the exact same hit-rate as a sword user with 50 dex and no gear. The real difference starts showing because sword build typically have, and require, far more dex than axes. Therefore giving most sword users better accuracy.
A dex-build axe user with misty rings and high level amber shards in their weapon would probably hit better than a min-req-dex sword build with no accuracy boosts in their gear.
Hope that helps.0 -
Same response as the above one, after 6 posts that didn't answer the question haha. Accuracy isn't dependent on weapon, so axe user with same acc as pole user will hit the same amount0

unless the game is bugged, acccuracy is based on dex rather than weapon.
Saying that, weapon builts dictates the dex a toon might have.
fists could have the highest dex requirement (more accuracy). As axes in the other hand has the highest str requirement, they have low dex (less accuracy)0 -
i have no prob hitting anything..though i capped my dex at 80 for right now on my axe bm.He is a lil over 80 with some dex+ accuracy ornaments..got one with +44 acc+44 acc+3 dex(WHAT more than the forrest ring without vit OMG) wich comes in handy.I love the crits i get.My bm at 72 is aboutto hit 5k in hp lol and i havent added stones to my tt stuff yet!!! OMG WTF..
That doesn't answer the OP... and how does your ring give more than a misty. Your ring gives total of 118 acc, unless you have under 236 acc originally then a 50% accuracy boost from a misty should give more than 118 accuracy.0 -
As said by most ppl above the weps dont affect ur chance of hitting ur target ....it all comes down to dex...im a multi wep user(sword, pole, axe) and while using it in combat all 3 have almost similar hit-miss ratio0
