Goes both ways actually lol. Altho I seen more melee die from this thinking I had some kinda instant 'god Heal' as they jumped into masses of mobs.

Some of the things I hate as being a cleric:

Vanguard Spirit- 82,960 (In total from 1-10) +25,600 for pt
Magic Shell- 148,160 (In total from 1-10) +40,800 for pt
Celestial Guardian's Seal- 487.800 (In total from 1-10) +64,000 for pt
Spirit's Gift- 372,600 (In total from 1-10) +96,000 for pt
sooo thats about 1.3mill? (guessing) I upgraded thease buffs
FOR MYSELF/for my pt mates and friends
I get anoyed as hell when someone asks me repeatedly
after I have said no, it is anoying get over it, I use to play a venomancer
I went 66 levels without buffs and I was Light armor,
If I can do it YOU CAN TOO
REZ ME, RES ME, RES PLZ, I NEED RES
for max res: 278,050, okay well let me say this nicely
I do not res people unless they are my friends, they do not ask me
because I find it anoying when someone ask me to res them, when
im in the middle of killing a mob, im sick of it and I wish people would leave
me alone, if someone asks nicely after im done I will, or I notice they
are dead note I died once and their were 10 clerics around and
I waited 2hours for a res instead of asking!
and guess what I GOT A RES.
Tank: HEAL ME NOW
do not tell me how to fcken do my job or how to play my class,
I will heal you when you ask If I am ready, If you want to rush into a boss
and im not ready =] prepare to die, and if you blame me, I will leave pt and
you will go to town.

Clerics need a little respect than what they are given
and I was done being pushed around when I hit lv 60
idc how close to lving I was; If I was in an fb and
the tank tried to tell me how to do my job or died
because I wasnt ready, tough I WOULD LEAVE
they would go to town =] short sweet simple
they called me a ****, no I just wanted respect
other classes get, not fair healers have to be the b1tches

cleric/veno/barb player here with a lil story about the "off-tank" i'd seen somewhere here lol...

and one day i'm on my veno and we're doin bh39 or 51 (dont remember). whoever was running ahead of me wasnt securing all the agro in that particular pack of mob, so 1-2 mob would go after the cleric quite often. sometimes i just whacked the mob with my wheel of fate and sent the herc to bash it to get it off me and dealt with the mob, sometimes (since the mob was already past me before i got it locked) i'd take off my wheel of fate then venomous scarab (lower dmg ranged atk) and send herc to bash, and the mob would usually be caught before it made it back to me.

pretty much, veno can be a pretty durn awesome "off-tank" / cleric guardian. got ranged attack to snag a heal agro mob off a cleric, got Tank (my herc's name).. got relatively low but still decent melee dmg to snag a mob as it walks by heading for the cleric, and at lv53, the only thing in an fb cave fb51 and below that i cant handle is myriadtail wyvern. can even handle mob in fb59 1v1... so i'd say thats a pretty good "off-tank" / cleric guardian, and evn main tank when the party has the patience and can understand herc with lv3 bash does not equal barbarian with the good agro flesh ream lol.

but yea, if its a good person behind the character.. a veno can be just as much a cleric's best friend as a defending bm (also long as the veno remembers to bramble guard the tank/bm's and not the cleric lol)
