okay i remember this one time back when i was lvl 6x i challenged a bm to a duel and when i won the fight right when i was about to type down "good duel" he puts "**** cheater" and then i said "how?" then he types "only scared pussies run" then i told him that if he was blind and if he didn't notice that i was an archer. then i thought to myself that maybe he's mad that stunned him too much that he didn't even lay one single blow on me. he kept swearing at me until i told him that he was a sore loser, then he got friends and people in his faction to start giving me trash. that's when it crossed the line, i started calling them cowards and noobs. one guy even called me a jackass and told be to leave the safe zone to pvp. it was like free time in seventh grade computer class. some followed me and kept putting me down. eventually it subsided and i got to do my quests in peace.


now for my questions
is it really considered cheating when an archer runs just so we can hit at full attack? if so then are ranged mobs cheating for running too? we already have to deal with low hp so do we really have to just stand still when a bm or barb with 6 to 10 times our hp take us down?

if it really was then i'm truly sorry for cheating.

    i dont think there is such a thing as cheating in duels. Except with potions. thats why bms/ barbs have some sort of speed buff/tiger form that makes them move faster. (to catch up to u o.o)

    well if the bm cant even run to an archer with his 2 speed buffs (mazbe also with holypath) then he just sucks at pvp ....and it's not cheating to kite in duels/pk

    well in pk there is no rules/cheating, you do what you have to do to win. Kiting is the logical option for a ranged class.

    Next time explain to him that he was cheating. The rules of duels clearly state that you each equip the projectile weapon of your choice, stand back to back, take ten paces, turn, and fire until your ammunition is exhausted (then politely wait for the other duelist to exhaust their ammunition).

    i don't duel, but there is no f****** rules in pk. as long as i am the one standing and your not. simple as that.

    Happened to me as well. Some RH attacked me, I kited, I won. I killed her (she was a BM) and she said the same exact thing. I told her it was kiting and she continued to talk trash, just ignore them.

    I dont attack someone until...

    1. I know they have someone or something else clicked
    2. I can get off double spark, deadlyshot, stun, and a metal attack before they even start to resist

    usually using a blockade between me and the target. also i use pots galore. (not so extreme if i know they are 10+ lvls lower)

    The game is a game of strategy from how you make money to how you attack an opponant. When all is said and done, the one with 0 hp loses regardless of anything.

    10+ lvls lower? Dear god I actually HAVE to fight people 78+ to be scared of losing. People say "Fight someone your own level" i say "Bring me a lvl *insert current level here* that can beat me and I'll hand you the key to my kingdom."

    NO, if they are 10+ lvls lower I just do whatever. If they are 9x (and I am 8x) I wait for the mentiond circumstances.

    aaaah 7th grade computer class...we were playing flash games when the teacher wasn't watching b:chuckle

    supposedly we were to learn how to type...or some nonsense like that

    but anyways, kiting is probably very necessary against melee classes. hell against wizards i run when force of will gets put on me or against clerics i run when they turn on their shields.

    Maybe someone should teach the BM's how to pvp properly.

    I fought one earlier today that used the BM skill that raises phy def and lowers mag def.


    He flys up and attacks me. I press F8 (aerogear) fall down then press F8 again. Stunning arrow, Thundershock, Lightning strike+Thunderstorm, dropped him.
    The only way to win is to quit. b:bye

    Adding to the topic, in real duels you can use any means necessary to win. Kiting, healing, genies, charms, whatever. Thats real pvp. However, everyone agrees its a waste of money to spend all that just so you can poke someone else with no real objective (since theres no pvp tourneys and thus no need to practice for such), reason why we dont use charms/healing.

    i've had the same thing happen to me on my archer
    i kite
    they don't hit
    i deal hard damage
    they cry

    just yesterday i dueled a barb on my archer and i kept kiting
    his cleric friend was around and when he saw i kept kiting asked for heals
    -.- pretty pathetic

    It is totally logic for an archer to kite in any situation vs melee class (PK/Duels).
    No archer is dumb enough to try tanking a same lvl BM/Barb due to their stun ( even with wings on, you'll still take quite a lot of dmg ) also BM can easily catch up to EA with their speed buff. My solution to BM is use stunning blast (genie skill only for EA ）when their anti-stun/immobilize buff is down and holy path away, when they try to run back to you, knock em with aim-low followed by all lightings and extreme poison ( genie skill ).

    any bm that does that when fighting an archer should be banned
    I don't care how old or young you are, how small your **** is, how much of a nerd irl you are or how depressed you are that you never will get laid. There is no reason to act like an A-hole to everyone on an mmorpg. Its a shame that I have to take time out of my day to tell people "stop being an A-hole". So I end with this, if your acting like an A-hole, and some one tells you your being an A-hole chances are your being an A-hole.

    I lol'ed at this... If you're a archer and you PvP/PK without kiting you die fast. Its not cheating... you're just using common sense. It would be similar to telling the BM to fight without stuns or speed buffs. I wonder what the BM's name was?... b:chuckle

    archers need to kite to win lol, i mean bms/barbs accuracy r bad but stand still for few seconds and ull die

    with wizs/clerics i guess durin plume shiled(if ur a smart archer u wont hav to kite often times ^^)/a ulti channelin/force of will/ur elmental debuffed while slept, as soon as ur hit u kite

    venos- u got 1 shot to kill them unless ur next to a sz lol, cause if u fail to drop them u better run or their nix will bleed u in 9seconds(assumin u used bloodclot)
