HH gold auto bind Question ->

Okay, well, I just want to double check this out of fear of how many coins I've already spent on this.xD

My plan was to surprise my rl boyfriend and ingame hubby with some HH80 gold, auto bind fist. (since he had a habit of pking everything he sees >.>)

Now, I almost had all the mats, (including up to +4 to refine and 2 flawless physical gems). I assumed that I would be able to craft, refine, and imbed gems, and it would only bind to the person who actually puts on the fist.

YET--> A few people have given me mixed responses. I've been told that

1) It's not if you use, but just making them will auto bind them.

2) I can stll craft and give, but if I refine/put in gems, it will auto-bind.


I really want to check since I'm putting a lot of money into this gift, and really want it to work. Last thing I need is some fist stuck in my inventory that I can't even use.xD

Has anyone done any/all of the above, and mind to toss a word my way?
Even better if I could have a GM say something.xD

    As long as you don't equip it, it wont auto-bind on you :)

    It will say on the top that once it is EQUIPPED it will Auto-Bind.

    TT80 welcome to PW international.
    Gold only binds when you first equip it. As long as its not equipped for the first time you can trade it around to 100 pple.

    When you first equip a piece of HH gold armour, there will be a pop-up saying that this equipment auto-binds. This is the same pop-up you get when you equip an HP/MP charm or an arcane pet book. As long as you do not equip it, however, you can trade it just like any other item. Just be careful with the double clicks while you have it ^_~

    once u equip it can u still add sockets,+it , or add gems ? or do i need to do that before ?

    Yes, I know it said that. BUT Other players informed me that other events, such as adding sockets, refining, or putting in gems would trigger the 'equipped' bind.

    I figured it wouldn't hurt to go check. :D

    After you bind gear, you can still add sockets, refine, purge and add gems to the item as much as you want. You just can't trade or drop it. I think you can npc bound items, as it will let you drag and drop a bound item into a npc sale box, but I've never tried to actually sell a bound item so I don't know about that one.
