Dragon orbs are used for refining equipment, and these specials orbs can put refining levels as high as 12, but some combos need to be made, and can be costly, so is it worthy?

NOTE: Some wrong info, need to fix.

1. The cost in the Boutique

In the cash shop, the following orbs are available for sale. Only 1-5 dragon orbs are for sale, while 6-12 need to be combined.

1 Star Dragon Orb = 30 Silver
2 Star Dragon Orb = 1 Gold 20 Silver
3 Star Dragon Orb = 3 Gold
4 Star Dragon Orb = 7 Gold 50 Silver
5 Star Dragon Orb = 18 Gold

2. Combinations

1 Star Dragon Orb = No need for combination
2 Star Dragon Orb = (4) 1 Star Dragon Orbs
3 Star Dragon Orb = (2) 2 Star Dragon Orbs, (2) 1 Star Dragon Orb
4 Star Dragon Orb = (2) 3 Star Dragon Orbs, (1) 2 Star Dragon Orb, (1) 1 Star Dragon Orb
5 Star Dragon Orb = (2) 4 Star Dragon Orbs, (1) 3 Star Dragon Orb
6 Star Dragon Orb = (2) 5 Star Dragon Orbs, (1) 3 Star Dragon Orb
7 Star Dragon Orb = (1) 6 Star Dragon Orb, (1) 5 Star Dragon Orb, (1) 4 Star Dragon Orb

NOTE:Gold Prices are based off of Harshland's economy (1.6k per silver)

4. Is it worth it ?
From orbs 1-8 are somewhat manageable, but from 9-12 is where it starts to kick in the power, and the gold.

    Do you think you could post each servers economy? Like Lost City's is ~1k per silver (correct me if I'm wrong).

    You should put how many 1 star orbs are needed for each grade.

    Good post.

    Aren't the calcs for dragon orbs 8 through 12 off though?

    let's take a dragon orb 8 for example:

    it requires a level 5 + 6 + 7 to make, which equates to 60 + 130 + 215
    1-star dragon orbs.

    if that's correct, then the result is 405 and not 300 to make a level 8.

    The bad news, if I'm right, is that a dragon orb level 12 requires 4645 level ones.

    3 Stars = 2*(1 Star) + 2*(2 Star) 10x

    4 Stars = 1*(1 Star) + 1*(2 Star) + 2*(3 Star) 25x

    BTW

    those calcs are only to get Orbs, not to get to a refine level.
    You all know that for a +12 item, you need to have accomplished 11 and previous to that 10, 9, 8 etc..
    Suddenly those hated math classes become precious.

    Orb refining is one of the hardest and most expensive thing in this game:

    really, the seperate servers current economies are irrelevant for a guide like this, because the guide is gona last longer than any stated gold or silver cost on any of the servers (these things fluctuate and change). so why not just say how much gold it takes to accomplish such a thing, and let the reader go to the gold trade to see how much coin it would take should they decide to go that way? :)
    i'm pro all classes, and against none in particular..
    but the age old QQ about venos is just that. OLD.

    So Suppose you have unrefined gear and have a 5* dragon orb,and took it to any elder .

    Would that give me directly 0 to 5 or just the normal 0 to 1

    I know its most probably 0 to 1.

    just trying to clear my doubt.

    Only 0 to 1. Higher grade orbs can be used to up in the lower grades, but it's not money efficient.

    Therefore, if you look at the prices, it's really insane to think that there actually are people with +12 weapons.

    Question...

    How do I combine dragon orbs? I don't want to do anything yet, unless I'm 100% sure. This is far too costly a practice for me to go nub in.

    Can I combine them at the Elder?
