what is a "rebirth"?

many people are talking about it.. seems that it gives quite a lot of reward.
but what does it mean? a fb? or a quest?
are there many stages of "rebirth"? should i start with alpha if i have never done it before?

    It's sort of a special quest where you and a full squad defend a NPC from hordes/waves of incoming mobs in a special instance map with pretty cool music. It's very difficult to complete, but the rewards are great.

    The Alpha/Beta/Gamma/Delta designation refers to the level range. Alpha being players between the 40 ~ 55 range, I believe. (So you wouldn't be able to try Beta even if you wanted right now, in the same way, you can't come back to Alpha after you've outleveled it)

    "rebirth" is a dead faction in the server sanctuary.
    I was early taught to work as well as play,
