New with a few questions...

I'm not sure if this is the right sub-forum to make this thread (the Beginner's Guide was the only other place I could think of) so please redirect me if it's not. Anyway, I just finished downloading and installing the game(it's updating right now at about 50% complete) and I'm hoping this game has better partying capabilities than every other game I've been playing throughout the entire course of the game (not just starting when you hit max level or close to it) So, my questions are:
-Are there many low-level people (around levels 1 to 25 and up) running around that are willing to party/group together?
-Are FS healers in high demand at ALL levels? (starting from no lower than level 10 until whatever the cap is)
-Are there many guilds that have a decent amount of "actively casual" people in them that will recruit and help new people?
-Pertaining to the above question - which PvE server is the best one for newbies in terms of finding parties/groups, helpful people, and newbie friendly guilds?

That's all I can think of right now. I hope this game has better grouping capabilities than every other MMORPG.

Thanks in advance for any help^^

I can answer a couple of these, hopefully some other folks can fill in the blanks.

-Are there many low-level people (around levels 1 to 25 and up) running around that are willing to party/group together?
Possibly, you can probably find a faction who will run with you. For the most part partying isn't necessary outside of dungeons or world bosses, which come later.

-Are FS healers in high demand at ALL levels? (starting from no lower than level 10 until whatever the cap is)
Healers are always in demand, it's not the easiest thing to level one but the regen on clerics is godly

-Are there many guilds that have a decent amount of "actively casual" people in them that will recruit and help new people?
I'm pretty sure they are, although some guilds will only recruit over a certain minimum level to avoid picking up "noobs" (not to be confused with newbs)

So, I wanted to make a Cleric, should I? If it's not easy to level one and partying isn't necessary, does that mean I will have a hard time here too? (if partying isn't necessary will people want to party with me often?)

you wont have much problem leveling with one for the most part (unless you're on a pvp server), leveling in this game picks up around 30 but slows down again down the line.

Cleric is a solid class if you follow the guides on the forum. I say if you think that's what you want, go with it

Ok, thanks~ I'll read those guides (after I find them) then I'll try out a Cleric here too (hopefully I don't give up and move on to a different class with better "killing capabilities" (provided I don't need to solo through the entire game like every other game I've played))

As a cleric, you will ALWAYS be wanted (the higher the level, the better of course).

But really, you should think about how you want to play... Clerics are the support class - more often than not, they're healing/buffing people (although they deal pretty good damage too). If you want a class than deals good damage, go with wizard or archer. If you want to be a good tank, always on the front lines, go with barb. If you'd like to deal some damage but also be a tank at times, blademasters are the way to go. And venos... they're the best money-making class, so I hear, and are easy to level since you have a helping hand with you at all times.

No no, PWI isn't hard... Squading/partying does make things go by faster, but usually it isn't necessary when doing regular quests (you sacrifice coins/items/exp for saving time). But yes, there are usually lots of people that want to squad up.

As for the best server... I've only played on one, heh, but Sanctuary has proven to be quite helpful, in my opinion. And yes, there's TONS of factions recruiting that always talk about "helping, fbs, etc.." Usually there's a level requisite, but in the early game, leveling is a breeze.

Well, if it was even possible (which I have my doubts it is) I would never need to attack anything because I would have a "killer" for a friend that is always partying with me so I could just be a completely FS healer. Unfortunately, that's a pretty unrealistic thing to want in any MMORPG so I guess I'll just be an FS whenever possible (hopefully quite frequently) and solo the rest of the time.

Sanctuary has cookies, scones and tea!

Clerics are not only highly wanted in squads/parties (like 99% of the other mmorpgs), but they also have a variety of highly damaging PvP skills. They can choose to either attack with physical attacks (not wacking the monster) or magical attacks depending on the opponent.

    Ex. in Territory wars:
Cleric sees a group of robes/arcanes.
Double spark + razor feathers = group of dead robes.

Cookies, scones and tea, huh? Do they have Rolo ice cream too? XD I'll come join you on this Sanctuary server if it's a PvE server. I'm about to find out, as I'm logging on as I type this.^^

Ummmmm.......wow......I could be at the character creation screen for a while........(I'm pretty picky with my looks even if I am just a digital image and this game has like ALOT of customizable options)

You will have no trouble finding parties at levels below 30. After that, you will probably grind alone ><. Clerics are in high demand for instances and cultivation quests at any level though.

@ eatwithspoons - You've never heard of Rolo ice cream?! Omigosh! It's made by Nestle just like Rolo chocolate bars are and it's even better than Rolo bars, just pretty hard to find (I've found it maybe 5 times in the past 1 year or so, all in The Real Canadian Superstore (that's the actual name of the grocery store))

And I'm finally done with the character customizing (too bad it doesn't give a more in depth way of setting your "weight" or even giving a height option, as I'm not -that- skinny (not overly obese either just more of an "average" weight for my age) nor am I anywhere close to that tall)

Ummmmm, anybody wanting to be my first friend (and any and all after that) and possibly even willing to start a new character so I can be my usual pacifistic self I'm on Sanctuary server with the name ShellyJodrey

I'm not sure if you have a policy on using your real name for your character name or not, so if it's against the rules (which it didn't clearly say it was in the agreement I read when I signed up) let me know and I'll delete my Cleric and choose a different name
