DP/Cultivation

So I see where Divine Pyro is available to me now at the skill trainer but it will not allow me to get it. I think it has to do w/ my cultivation not being at the right level. How do I raise that so I can get DP- or is their something else I need? Thanks in advance for the help!

    If it's your cultivation then you need to do the quests in your log that are in gold. That would raise your cultivation.

    There's also the possibility that you do not have enough spirit or coin... but otherwise do your culti quests!

    Ok, I think I have some yellow quests left - have done some too. Do I need to do anything after I complete quest - i.e. go see some NPC - or does completing quest automatically raise cultivation? I do have enough spirit & coin.

    You also need to have at least 1 level in the earlier fire skills as well. IE, Crown of Flames, Pyroshield, and Pyrogram.

    Get the Crown of Flame too, at your lvl cultivation lvl should not be a problem. You missed either Pyroshell or Crown of Flame that's why you can't get DP.

    LE: Sawki had the same idea :) I just posted about 15 minutes after I wrote it, I was reading some news :D

    I don't have Crown of Flame or Pyroshell, but I do have Pyrogram (at max lvl for me, 6 I think). So I need either Crown of Flame or Pyroshell in order to get DP? Does it say this somewhere in the skill description or something? Just wondering in case of similar situation down the line.

    FYI, I have Gush, Stone Rain and Stone Barrier all maxed too, but I think that's it for my skills.

    You need at least one level in both Pyroshell and Crown of Flames

    those are the right one to max at your lvl.
    And u need both Pyroshell and CoF to get DP.
    Should be something in description at "prerequisites" or something like that, I'm not sure, I haven't payed any attention to those actually. What I can get from Ecatomb doesn't say anything

    Ok, I must have missed that "requirement" section (late night playing makes for lazy reading). I was going to skip COF and Pyroshell as I have read they are not so good. No choice if I want DP, eh. That'll be more spirit than I anticipated. I may have enough but should I do it at this point or hold off?

    BTW, PWI should pay some of you people - very helpful.

    I always kept my DP maxed, and was almost always my opener until the SS got to lvl 10 ( lvl 75) except on fire/water mobs. The initial dmg of the DP cannot be compared with any other spell u have. Your combos should have that as opener except when fighting fire elements.
    The big gain of the DP against SS at low lvls is the range. That range will keep you away from getting hit. At lvl 75+ though, when u have the masteries upped and the SS at max range, the use of DP will fade, cause SS does more dmg with less cast/channel time.
    LE: Be sure u get it up to lvl 2 :D, you should have the SP, it's not that expensive at that lvl.

    My DP is lvl 4.

    I dont even have it hotkeyed anymore O.o
    Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
    Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
    So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

    was one of my favorites for a while. And does some really really nice dmg in PvP when used with sutra. Otherwise the long cast time makes it useless for PvP

    i stopped using it around lvl 50. SS was waaaaaaaaay better.
