2 player party

I'm a beginner and I plan to play this game with a friend of mine and I've been wondering what is the best class match up for a 2 player party, which 2 classes work best together?
I'd appreciate it if you could help me out with this :D

    well, a tank and a healer, work pretty well, but maybe for u guys is better stay together with cleric and archer, or veno and barb, or wizard and bm, that way u guys can do the quests since 1-19 lvl together, otherwise u guys can only quest together at lvl 20. its ur choice ^^

    cleric & anything is pretty good... then again so is a lot of other stuff..

    archer and mage or archer+ archer or mage+mage can kill regular mobs extremely quickly.. for bosses though its a whole 'nother story

    my best friend is cleric, i'm archer. I'm often with him, and we can grind very well togheter. i deal dmg, the cleric ltl bit dmg and heal me. u can say what u want, but it works good

    Well we decided to go for cleric + archer, thanks for the help everyone.
