Item/Coin Vultures

This post is not really off topic as far as PWI goes, but there is no real forum for this kind of gripe that I have been able to find. If I am in error a mod can feel free to move it. So, here goes.
Although my main is a Veno of the "nuker" variety, I like to dust off my squishy level 32 Cleric and plonk around with her, distributing random buffs and rezes, just for the heck of it.
So, it bothers me greatly that other players, especially those obviously of a much higher level, will wait out of danger while I am taking on a mob, which is hard enough, and help themselves to my item and coin drops, and then take off to their vulture perch to wait again.
This would not be so bad, and I would perhaps not begrudge the pick up if they even bothered to stop and help, but in one particular case, I was beset by 4 Ossien Guards. Some Barb decided it would be an opportune time to swoop in while I was very occupied with that whole "not dying" thing, with 3 more guards to go, and make off with my coins and Complete Sack, leaving me to continue fending off the rest of the mob. The person who did this is a complete sack, in my opinion, and I hope Karma catches up with them.
Being a vulture (or, as it used to be called in another game long ago, "vulching") is in poor taste and is terrible game manners, especially when you know that the class currently engaged is likely having a rough time of it with any mobs of 2-4 monsters. It is as predatory and abusive a habit as those who squad you, and then take off to a safe distance to leech items, coins, EXP and Spirit points.
Consider at least asking if a person desires their drop, or at the very least help them out if you see they are being overwhelmed. To those who would say "It is fair game if the timer runs out and anyone can pick it up", I say, use some common sense please. You can clearly see that someone is busy not dying and picking up a drop is, therefore, not an immediate priority, because a drop is great... until you are dead.
Granted, if someone generates a drop and is obviously taking off and leaving it, by all means, make use of it. Otherwise, use your head.
When I play, I cannot begin to describe the feeling I get when the character of someone dies, and leaves a good drop, knowing that they are coming back to the area, I take the item and wait for them and then tell them it is their drop and give it back to them. It often surprises them and makes them happy too.
Not to mention it shows you are not a greedy twonk.
So think next time you are contemplating vulching the drops of someone else.

I always pick up my drops the moment they hit the ground. And if i get mobbed and i kill 1 monster i pick up the drop, fly high and wait until they go away.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Sometimes I can be a stubborn person. b:cute
As such, I started to get pissed off when mobs would attack me when I'm trying to pick up their drops. (Then again,....If some bloke went and offed your friend, and then proceeded to loot his carcass....you'd probably attack him too! b:chuckle)
So I made this rule for myself, that NOTHING GETS IN THE WAY OF MY LOOTING b:angry
So even if there are like 4 mobs ganking on me, I still calmly pick up the drop and run/fight. b:cute (No, I don't care if it gets me killed. STUPID MOBS<!!)
