Im level 71 soon to be 72 mostly pure wizzy i've noticed i havent been hitting as hard as other wizzys my level, my mag attack unbuffed isnt even over 3700, i still have my TT60wep but i still think it might be something else, anyone else think they know what it is?

    Define 'mostly pure'. But the heart of your problem may be your weapon, our skills typically read deals #### damage equal to base magic attack plus ###% weapon magic attack plus ####.

    Your weapon is a major source of damage.

    Well my equips arent the greatest because i believe cash should be used with something you're REALLY gonna stick with but my build right now is: 36vit 45 str 28dex(which i need to get rid of) and 261 mag without equips, it could completely be my wep but i think i went wrong somewhere, other than that massive amount of useless dex

    you might want to restat that vit out since you are now lvl 71 and have a pretty good feel for the class
    Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
    Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
    So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

    alright my new weapon for the time being is the Acalantha Wand +1 with +20 mag attack and my unbuffed mag attack now would be 3403-3453 I don't think thats a good amount either, any comments about it?

    all I can say is too low.
    I'm at 5.1-5.2k unbuffed now and I'm only 5 lvls higher than you.

    LE: And yeah, restat that vit and dex, you either go full robe or LA, don't ever put vit points in a wizz, it's just such a waste.

    Yeah, i've never been to sure on how to use those, or how they help at all

    just play a little bit with it, u can choose and equip your gear and customize it.
    Takes a few minutes to get used to, well worth it in long run

    Well what am I supposed to be hitting at my level? Im trying to do for demon later, but i've never payed attention really as to what im supposed to be hitting, once i re stat all my dex into mag should i just rely on gear and such to do my damage?

    dmg for wizz comes from 2 places:
    1.magic dmg
    2.wpn dmg

    What to do to maximize:
    1. a)use rings with + magic dmg (or magic ) and HP/vit. There are many of them in AH, just look. You can get easily about 150HP from rings only
    b)maximize the points u have in magic
    c)look for ornaments with +HP/magic and gear with +HP/magic.
    2. refine wpn to at least +3. If u can get it to +4 it's well worth it. Why? wizz has that 300% modifier in skills for wpn dmg. No other class has that. So, we have to take advantage of that.
    SS description: Inflicts Earth damage equal to base magic attack plus 300% of weapon damage plus 4288.4.

    I hate being such a dumbass about this all;

    Would you say that after I restat my dex I should just refine like my mad on my good gear? Or should I go and just go and buy decent rings that will increase my magic/attack? I would like to jump my mag attack up to at least 4k unbuffed, I could care less about my hp right now so im only interested in getting my mag attack up :P

    get good rings and refine the weapon, that will absolutely boost your dmg. And restat all vit and dex points to magic. Once u do that, your dmg should be up in the 4k area, no doubt.

    Don't refine the gear more than +3 now unless u have some legendary stuff( Pants), it's not worth it.

    So how should i go about restating? 2 intermediate resets or 1 basic reset and an intermediate reset all? im kinda poor at the moment so yeah....cheapest way to get 38 vit and 28dex gone

    Cheapest way to go: Intermediate reset all + Basic reset note (you could go also for a basic restat-all, instead of the singular one, however, that is up to you, but they cost the same) Either way, you're spending about 8 gold.

    The thing to remember when using restat notes is that you will always have a base of 5 (or 3, if you want - vit and one other (dex or mag) can go down to 3 using resets), so you have to subtract that from your naked scores now. Instead of getting rid of 36 vit and 28 dex, you're really getting rid of 31-33 vit and 23-25 dex, depending if you want a base of 5 or 3.

    For a pure build, put every single possible point into magic. Strength should only be as high as your current equipment requires it to be, no more. The resulting low HP and low phys def will be easily fixed by sharding your equips with garnet or citrne gems.
