Grinding Guide

I hit lvl 40 last week and like most people who hit 40 found that I only had 2-4 quests per lvl that are only worth 6-9,000 exp each. I think that's barely 20% of my total xp. Now granted doing Crazy Stone and FQ once a day is another 20-25% exp, but we still need to grind for around 50% of each lvl. lol
I was just wondering if someone could post a quick and dirty grinding guide. I'm not worried about getting money, DQ Drops to sell, or materials. What should I grind on lvl by lvl for best potion used to exp earned ratio.
Thank you in advance to anyone who offers help. b:laugh

Grinding becomes more and more, a large part in leveling as your level gets higher and higher.
for me, the best way to grind is not grinding on mobs that give the most EXP per kill. but, instead, find the highest level mobs that i can kill FAST and EASY.
Thus giving myself the most kills per, say an hour or so, and thus the most exp gained in the same amount of time.
Example.... let say there is a mob that gives 500 exp, but takes you 1 minute to kill it, and there is another, lower level mob, that only gives 325 exp, but you can kill it in 30 seconds. Better to kill two at 325 exp in 1 minute than 1 at 500 exp in 1 minute. see my point?
These are usually mobs with WHITE name ranges.
Hope this helps.

At your lvl i was grinding on Mastiff wolves (lvl 43) inbetween Sumar and Swift.
They are pretty decent for exp and have a nice drop rate. i grinded there until lvl 45 or so.
After that, i just looked for air mobs like 5 levels ahead of me and from what Necro said high level mobs that u can kill fast is more efficient.0 -
I am 45 but still grinding on Native Vipions above Swiftwind. I just use regular attacks and kill in 3-6 hits depending on crit or 2-4 hits sparked. They move very slow (they do have an "air crawl" animation) but attempt to poison you or drain mana but don't have to worry about it if you can kill before their cast is complete. After this level I will probably have to find something else.0

20% from quests each level?
I'm level 58, crazy stone gives me about 14% a day. From quests I can get up to 60-70% before I need to start grinding. The only way to win is to quit. b:bye0 -
Well let's say you have 4 quests at lvl 43. Two give 9,000 exp each and another two give you 13,000 exp each. That's about 23% exp if you didn't actually kill the mobs. LOL
Also keep in mind some quests don't have any mob killing and only give 3000 exp. I'm just guesstimating though so it's not very precise.0 -
What mobs should I grind on?
Im lvl 52 and it's really hard for me to find good grinding mobs. They're all too hard.0 -

Have you tried the level 54 Foxwings near Misfortune?
If you're having difficulties grinding, perhaps you should try different equipment or combos. Do you keep your Winged Shell up?0 -
This is for archers and not any other class.
40-44 Quests + various mobs around swiftwind to Sumor Camp (whatever you feel like killing really)
44-47 Quests + mobs around Sundown town / Sea Mobs far west of Misfortune
48-52 Quests + flying mobs above skull mountain
53-62 Quests + general grinding on mobs around King's feast / Tusk Town (You can start on foxwings(60) as early as you want)
63 ~ 68 After quests, flying mobs (62) above Village of the Dreaming Cloud
69-72 Minions of Alucard(69?) around the Altar of Disbelief (SAVE YOUR GLAZE!)
73-75 Falcom Howlers (73?) just north of the Village of the Lost
76-78 Cloudrider Falcons (76?) south of Village of the Lost (around 618, 410)
79-82 Mothran Dazzlewings(80) above the Lake of Woe (west of Dreamweaver Port) (Well geared archers can enter RB Gamma at 75+)
83-85 Gamma + Mothran Dazzlewings(80) / Falcons (83?) north of City of the Lost (262,712)
86 - Quests leftover from Gamma
87-92 Undines(87) east of Thousand Streams (in the pool) or Ultrafin Supremes(88) at the Lake of Isolation. 90+ Archers can begin doing Delta at this point.
93-98? Lethal Araneid Sharpfangs(96) at 292 , 959 / Deltas
98+ No idea. Deltas will probobly become the main focus though.
I did this quickly so some of the level 40-55 data may be slightly off. It has been a long while since I was in that range b:surrender0 -
Minions of Alucard is lvl68 and archer with decent bonuss from gears can grind them from lvl 64. I tried them yesterday and they werent hard really, only 1 of 3 hit me, but ya, till that those lvl62 bats seems to be ok with deceent drop rate.I kill things b:victory0

At 52 you should be grinding on Foxwing Supremes. Pop a miji and tons of xp.
At 60 (when you get your swiftwind) you can grind on lvl 68 bats in the swamps.
I always pick the flying mobs that are light yellow to me. They give more xp and combined with a miji you get % quick.0 -

Umm, I would recomend this only if you have refined weapon, dont you get hit way too much? I mean, even if you are rich thats not something you should aim for .
I though grinding is when you can kill mobs easy and fast, so you can move to next one, while Foxwings at lvl52 will **** unexperienced archer with all those paralizing skills and stuff. I grinded on thpose Fire DoT mobs at that lvl, till maybe lvl56, then I started to kill Foxwings.I kill things b:victory0 -

Oh, I did fail to mention that I was charmed. I bought a gold HP charm at like level 28 I think... it lasted till 57 or 58... but still, usage during that time was minimal.
I wasn't using any refined weapon, just general summers longbow really hurt those foxies... I grond on them for what, 3 levels before they turned white on me without much of a problem..
Since I was 3x, I've always grinded on mobs that were yellow, as soon as they turned white, I moved to the next mob on the list without problems. Maybe 3 out of ten would actually have a chance to hit me.
As for the bats, yes by the time I hit 60 and started grinding them I was able to use my +5 Solarslayer, so yeah, that might not be advisable till 62+.0
