what is MT in genie's skills?

i want to upgrade my genie. what i mean by upgrade my genie is that i want it to have more skills and being helpful to me as a BM. But it says 1 MT next to every skill i want to learn for genie. And what skills should i get for my genie? I'm a polearm and sword BM. Thanks in advance b:kiss

I think every 5...or maybe 10 levels you get 1 point to spend on an element affinity0
