what does purify weapon do?

when i just completed the FB 19 and i had this Trial Pataka (2 sockets) and i unknowingly imbued it with lowest soulgems (+3 magic attack each soulgem). i want to purify with but i dont want to lose all the initial attributes come with this weapon (reduce physical damage taken +1%, magic attack +10, hp +45). so does purifying the weapon remove all the attributes or just the soulgem-added atributes? thank you in advance :D. I'm a veno lvl 21

    It only removes the soulgem ones. I had that question as well, so I tested it on one of my drops.
