I think it would be a nice Idea for their to be the option to build your own home in a seperate instance. There could be small neighbourhoods made up of 10-20 plots to choose to build your house. a new construction skill could be made and you could use the current materials to build things, or maybe even add a few more materials to farm especially for construction.

I just think it would be a nice idea for people of a higher level say 60+ only to do, because it gets pretty boring with the lack of quests. It'll be something to spend time doing ^_^

It has already been said that there will be no housing in this version of the game.

However, it is not a bad idea. Like you buy deeds at the boutique, and it takes 9999 deeds to be able to start building, they could sell them in packs or something, than you would have to buy mats also from boutique, to build the house, and to decorate it, and to pay for maintenance, etc.

They may be able to make enough money to pay for the extra server that holds the housing system.
Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

Sounds Like A good idea, is the money issue the only reason why they say there will be no housing in this version of the game? I mean surely if they did that + the amount of money people spend on clothes, charms, tomes, mounts ect they'd be able to pay for it.

Also I didn't know there was housing on other versions of the game, if anyone has any fotage of the it on another version could they post the link here please it would be interesting to see. b:laugh

in the malaysian version which is p2p you could design your own housing

the reason they won't bring it over here is because of the maitenance
many many houses equals many many bugs
in which pwi being a f2p game doesn't make the kind of money needed
to hire staff that will be able to deal with it

I think a good compromise would be pre-created castles for certain territories that guilds can own (I know there are other games that use this, but I'm not talking about other games, I'm talking about a concept).

I think pre-designated castles in set territories could work and wouldn't involve the more complex "construction" method.

The castles could have their very own facilities such as blacksmiths, tailors, banks, etc etc and the guilds set the price of the items and which items will be available (but not set anything with CS items...npc/currently creatable items only).
Non-guild members could be alllowed by the guild to use the facilties and set a cost for doing so (or set no extra cost...guild's descretion).

Also from their Castle HQ in that Territory perhaps the guild could also set other things such as affect exp rates/drop rates/spawn rates (within a very small margin) for that territory...for example a margin of between 0.5x to 1.5x, this would add a real feeling of a guild being a ruling body for a territory and that they're affecting things which could either please their subjects...or severly annoy them...lol. but this might not be possible, and if it's too open to exploits I wouldn't reccomend it (I don't want this game to be fubarred...I LIKE this game)...it was just an idea I felt I should share.

Anyways, I still think the core idea about the castles should be possible as a basic concept.
