@GMs: Server down - but HP charm ticking -> can we get it back?

Hello GMs,

since you know, the servers were down for quite long.
The game freeze and then nothign happens. Force login didn't work for the whole period.
Many ppl, (like me) couldn't login within that period. And yes, I tried it often.

The stupid thing was...this happend while killing mobs...with a HP charm.

When I noticed the game freezing (server problem), I've checked how much HP were left on HP charm: 516k Hp. I expected to loose soem HP from charm (since it wasn't the first time)...but NOT THE WHOLE HP CHARM -> 516k HP are gone.

When the server was up and I logged in...surprise: dead and HP charm was gone. Same for the Guardian angle.

Now my question: Is it possible to recover it? I mean: How comes that noone can login but the characters are still logged in b:angry...and not for 5 minutes. It was a LOT longer. It takes a while untill 516k HP charm are gone (for a lvl 78).

It would be just fair.



And no: not being able to login while character is still logged in and loose HP charm is NOT part of the game.

    And how would they keep track of everyone's charm who ticked?

    The whole server could claim they had a charm on, and want a refund. Its just not possible.

    Its a game. Things happen, technology fails. Deal with it.

    I don't have to deal with it since it is a commercial game.

    I don't know if you noticed it...but you can loose real life money in this game.

    And give me one reason to spend RL money on this game IF YOU CAN LOOSE IT ANYTIME BCUZ OF TECHNICAL SERVER PROBLEM?

    It's not like ppl loose hp charm as part of game. Come on, TCP connections have timeout...which is ususally set to max. 60 or 180 seconds. Means after these few seconds, if there are no data send between client & server, connections officially shots down. Means technically it shouldn't happen, that your character is loged in for SO LONG. But come on, servers appeared offline, noone could force log. Means there was no connection. you can try to calculate how long it takes to get rid of 516k hp charm.

    Definetly more than 1 minute. A lot longer. (lvl 78 veno)

    This isn't acceptable.

    i say give the 2 severs tht went down 100% more exp from mobs for a week as compensation for this mess

    If your HP charms continued to be gnawed at by mobs while you were unable to connect back to the server, it must means that the servers were still up, but that the login servers was down.

    There is an easy solution for that, if everyone was affected : Database rollback.

    Don't bet on it tho.

    Er...lolwut? All the servers are down, not just HT and LC.

    So 100% more exp for LC and HT = fail idea.

    well it wasnt a dc, only like overload or something, because if you didnt do anything, like my I didnt with my shop, it wouldnt dc at all, so data where transfered, which is probably why there where no dc..

    No role back I just turned 52 live with lost charm.I never see players using charms.
    Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.
