can't learn pet heal or pet revive

I did the quest to get the pet and then received the 2 skill books.
the book say to talk to the pet trainer to learn the skill, however the option to learn those skills is not there. did i miss something or did the game glitch on me?

    Click on tame pet, yea it's confusing especially with having he option "learn pet skills"

    Yeah, those skills are hidden in the wrong place, I swear.

    When you talk to the Pet Trainer, choose her "Tame Pet" option, you turn at least one of the books in there. Both, I think.
