Level 54, need cash.

So yea I am level 54, and I really need some cash.
I was wondering the best way to get money at my level right now.
I just recently bought a new hp hierogram and got my stunning arrow to level 4, this leaves me with about 90k.
I can barely afford to get low aim level 4 if choose to, and I haven't even bought my skill that can reduce the max hp of a boss.
So I was wondering how I can make some money in order to afford to raise more skills, more hierograms, and maybe start saving up for some better wings.
I tried grinding, it works but by the time I have made a decent amount of money off of it, that money is immediately sent towards new skills/new hieros/new equips.
Tried farming mats, found a great route to farm tier 2 mats, only problem? No one buys them. Tried to farm mid mats. And I cannot for the life of me find a good route to take.

Considering your class, you may want to consider grinding past the low levels instead of trying to make money at this point. With a level 50ish character you will have access to higher level farm spots that yield good DQ drops. Also, the area where you grind is important. As an archer, you have the option of grinding fire foxes which give you a high DQ item drop rate, as well as decent XP. I hope this helps, if not, you can always make a venomancer.

Don't focus so much on leveling. Many people make that mistake. They want to level as fast as they can, so they kill what they can and do all their quests and level all the skills they can and get the best armor.. oops your broke.
Instead: take your time leveling. Grind on creatures that still give you adequate experience but do not take you a long time to kill. Yes if you kill a creature your level they give you more experience and spirit. But if you kill something 2-3 lvls below you, you can kill 3x as fast and without ticking so much of your charm or using so many pots.
Pick 2 main hitting skills and 2 aoe skills to focus on leveling. Let the rest go til you get those maxed. Yes new skills are awesome but, they also take more spirit, and more money to upgrade. If you just focus on 2 main hitting skills and get them maxed, not only will u have one skill that hits very hard, but you will also have saved some spirit and money for future skills.
Since you are picking up so many mats that you can't sell anyways, try making your own gears and weapons. It doesn't cost you anything if you've farmed the mats all yourself. Also with the release of the genies, its good to decomp things you pick up. I've found that not many people want a good gear without sockets even, so I decomp and sell by watcher of the earth. The stones always go. I almost always sell out.
In short, take your time. Its not about getting to the end of the game as fast as possible. Enjoy playing it! Its no fun to be so broke you can't afford skills. Just take your time, enjoy the game and have fun. You will find soon enough that it will balance out.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Dood that's messed, I'm level 21 and I have all my skills that i need and I have saved about 500,000 coin.
I do grind a lot tho I find a good spot that has herb/mines and mobs that drop stuff like cotton thread and then I park for a few hours harvesting.
I feed my fairy with exp so I don't level up... that's all you need to do.
You can easily make 10-20k of mats in an hour... I cat shop it all...letting my computer run when I'm not at home.
Grind >Feed Genie> repeat(it's not fun but neither is being poor)0 -
Wow my advice is the exact opposite.
NPC all your DQ. Sell all your mats in the AH. Buy your gear from the AH too as its usually cheaper than the mats. Concentrate on leveling as fast as you can as it is easier to make lots of money at higher levels.
Being content making 10k-20k per hour farming mats is silly when you can make 250K per hour at level 85 killing fish.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Yeah if you hurry up and lvl to lvl 85 which will take you about 6 months you can then be rich. Easy for someone lvl 85 to say.
In the meantime; you need a solution for NOW. This one is not it. Anyone will tell you at lvl 70-85 you have more than enough spirit but not enough coins to get skills. When they cost 225k or more per skill.Asterelle - Sanctuary wrote: »Wow my advice is the exact opposite.

Thanks for the help.
I hit 55 today. I plan to do the level 55 token of the seven quest and grind to 56. That way when I hit 56 I will have a decent amount of cash and enough quests to get me to 57.
What do you recommend I grind on?

HAHAHAHA
Look I know it says my Join Date is Feb 2009 but really that's for the forums.
I made this character back when the game first came out in CB, and I just hit level 55 today. The only way to win is to quit. b:bye0 -
Yea that was a bit of sarcasm, as its not anything you can do fast. In the meantime you need in game moolah! So grind away.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Like I said, on what?
Im thinking about this one mob near tusk town that seems to drop a lot of DQ, usually two at once and usually every third or fourth drop. The only way to win is to quit. b:bye0 -
One mob near tusk town...?
On topic, try making an alt perhaps? It can reel in cash and is a really fun break from grinding if you get bored.
I made a veno myself, and at level 30 I have just under 3m. You can make up to a few 100k in an hour farming dull claws and rough furs. As well as that the supply stash and certain quests will boost your funds quite a bit, I still have 100k from the scarlet fruit, 400k from the oracleII's and 500k from the perfect stones when I level more. Veno's are practically free to use, a few k on venom scarab and a bit of pet feed and just equip quest rewards and drops you find.0 -

um... i would keep on leveling, 10-20k in 1 hour is really not worth it. I really dont understand why people feed their genie with exp, at higher levels when you have a ton of spirit just chuck a couple hundred thousand spirit points and you level the genie much faster0 -
So does anyone know a good mob around my level that has a decent drop rate? The only way to win is to quit. b:bye0
