I read some of the manual For territory wars. Since you cant attack while on a mount should I buy 1? Is it worth using it to rush to an oppenent thats running away? Or is there really no point, just for fast travel?

you're not supposed to use mounts to attack, just to get places faster

You can attack from the flying mounts during TW, so a lot of people use the CS versions of those. If you die in the TW, you respawn back in your own camp, and might have to race across the entire field to get back to your attack position against the other camp. A land mount would be good for that since they go up to 11 mps, and flying mounts max around 8.5 mps (speed added to character speed of ~5mps). Though since you can't attack from the land mount, it seems people tend to stick with flying instead so they can attack AND move.

Outside TW, land mounts are great for getting around. If you Autopath a lot flying mounts are best because you can fly over obstacles instead of running into them. But the land mounts, again, are quicker.
