Skymanta Shade has a normal speed = 1.5 as well as Red Skymanta but the price is not the same 10 gold against 15 gold.
Does it means that Red Skymanta naturally fly faster than Skymanta Shade (without any upgrades) or what ?

If not why pay 5 golds more for the same speed flying beasts ???

Thx for any explanations.

Where do you get the Sky Mantas?
The Boutique only has swords, and the old guy out south of Lost city only has the starters.

Unless he has more to offer once your char is the right level...

In the Boutique there are "Tabs" like when you hit "Fly" you can also choose Sword, Beast, Wings, or Upgrades. Beast is where the skymanta/birds are found

They are in the cash shop. Next time, go to Fly, then Beasts. Its right next to swords.

Why buy a Red Skymanta cost 15GP if there is not speed difference with Skymanta Shade cost 10GP ???

Look at the level limit. You pretty much paying 10 gold more to be able to use it 20 levels earlier.

If there is no stat difference, then it is one of prefrence/style.

Aside from that, haven't you noticed a red car is more expensive than a green or blue one. ;)

The difference is you can use a redback, but you'd have to wait until level 50 to use the shade.

also, I'm pretty sure the lvl 50 one has 300 more seconds of endurance
but that's just what I remember from the database, so don't take my word for it

Ok so it is a level distinction and thereby one of style.

Good Call, the 2nd tier mounts have 600 instead of 300 for Speed duration.

No reason...The Red Back is bright and gaudy and the Shade is pure win...

    LOL

Well yeah it is a style choice but the ONLY reason for the extra money is that the Red can be rode a lot sooner than the Shade, that is it.

I would say the spotted one is your best choice as you can upgrade it relatively cheap with widgets.

The more you initially pay, the less you'll spend upgrading it to max speed. I think it works like that. Hmm.... someone else can do the math :P
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

Actualy that is wrong. The cheapest aerogear to max (once you add cost of aerogear plus winglets) is the 5 gold one.
    5 Gold Mounts - Start Speed +1m/s
    5 gold + (20+60+80+80)*90silver = 26gold 1 silver +3m/s, +5m/s acc
The 10 gold mounts - Start Speed +1.5m/s
    10 +(40+80+80)*90 silver = 29gold 8 silver +3m/s, +5m/s acc
The 20 gold mounts - Start Speed +2m/s
    20 + (80+80)*90 Silver = 34 gold 4 silver +3m/s, +5m/s acc
The 30 gold ones - Start Speed +2.5m/s
    30 + (80*90 silver) = 37 gold 2 silver +3m/s, +5m/s acc
    The new 40 Gold ones
    40 gold +3m/s, +6m/s acc

At then they all have +3 m/s speed, although the new 40 gold ones do have higher acceleration maxing at +6 m/s instead of +5m/s like the rest.

You are correct, thanks for pointing out my mistake.

The +3/+6 m/s ones are indeed 50 gold.
