Jeez, no need to be an **** about it lol.

Anyway, most likely regular players will set up a fireworks show that day. Can't promise it, but just saying it's likely to happen seeing there were previous firework shows in the past (-cough- New Years -cough-). Or maybe GMs will give free fireworks for that occasion. xD

Considering 4th of July is only celebrated by Americans, I dont see why it would be such a big deal on Perfect World International, besides a sale of some sort.

But definitely look for fireworks shows on your server all day, most likely in Archosaur. I know I will be throwing my own show on Sanctuary b:pleased

    Might be interesting :)

And PWI is run by PWE, which is headquaredered in California, USA. So it's not illogical to think there might be come kind of July 4th event.

On July 4th, 1776, the United States of America was formed when it signed the Declaration of Independence - 13 colonies of Great Britain had decided they wanted their own country, and not the heavy tax burdens their mother country had given them.

And so began the Revolutionary War, as it's called over here, which brought us our freedom as a self-governed country. It's celebrated every year with cookouts and fireworks and lots of things in the colors Red White and Blue - the colors of our flag.

*edit* Though as a side note, about three weeks BEFORE July 4th, the counties of New Castle, Kent, and Sussex had already signed a document declaring their separation not only from Great Britain, but from the colony of Pennsylvania, to which it had belonged. They formed the new state of Delaware, now considered the First State of the union.

It's just nobody seems to have noticed 'cause we're kinda sorta small >.>

It celebrates when europe lost interest.

Lots of colours of the British flag are used in the celebrations, red, white and blue. We appreciate the respect b:victory.

They are used to show thanks to the massive exploitation of chinese immigrant workers.

Fireworks have been used in celebrations around the world for a long time going back. They originated in China - the chinese invented them. They're very popular for the Fourth of July and New Years in the United States.

Local government usually organizes festivities where they are set off. They are also set off at Carnivals and sports games. They're illegal for private people to use in a lot of places.

And why? Big Flaming Colorful Things That Sparkle And Go Boom. = cool.

I suppose the British equivalent is Guy Fawkes Night(Bonfire Night), which represents different things for different people and uses fireworks to represent the gunpowder plot and occasionally and effigy of Guy Fawkes(looks like a scarecrow) is burned at the stake. I'll hold a firework show on the 5th of November for it, until then merry summertide, merry midsummers day Northern Europe, and happy Independance day.

...So if you didn't want to know why we use fireworks for the 4th of July... why did you ask? Especially if you already knew why people use fireworks?
    but still... why fireworks?b:surrender

And no, I haven't been to Europe yet. I don't exactly have the budget for overseas travel, though Ireland, Africa, and Japan are on my Someday list for traveling :)

As an interesting historical sidenote, the Declaration of Independence was actually signed on July 2nd. However, the date on the document is July 4th, so that's when it's celebrated.
