From what I've learned so far I believe the money they make comes from:

    1. Camping out for rarer pets that respawn only ever hour or 24 hours then selling in catshops to players for considerable coin.

    2. They can hide behind their pet for most mobs, and have skills which can heal without costing any mana, and switch their health value with mana value... all this meaning they spend much less on hp and mp pots than other characters.

    3. Once they've reached the legendary herc pet, they have basically their very own tank that can crush mobs for them without needing help from a squad, so they get all the drops and coinage for themselves.

I have a 38 veno, and also have all other chars in their 20s. One major thing I noticed is that my veno and her pet can do all the quests alone. Unlike with some other classes, I really didn't need any help till fb19. I can lure and then kill bosses and mobs that are many lvls higher than me. I just use my pets attack skills and spam healing it till it kills the mob/boss... maybe risking firing in the odd ironwood scarab between heals to help speed up the kill. Should the pet die you just run or fly away with plenty of distance between you and the creature your pet was fighting. With the other classes I find that if you have to run away, it's often too late (at least at lower lvls, until you get some speed boosts, invulnerabilities, super heals, etc.)
