Well, new aerogears are going to get released.
Im a Human Blademaster, and might get a new flying mount.
But the question is, IS IT REALLY WORTH IT?

1. Got a land mount Hell Hound 11m/s. If i get a flying mount, like the Rose Gold Gourd, its speed is +3 normal and +6 haste. So its 8m/s or 11m/s haste.
Hell hound speed >= Gold Gourd Speed
2. The Gold Gourd IS REALLY UGLY. If i buy a flying mount, i would choose LahLah's Heart or Daevas. But the point is, +2.5 normal and +4 haste. 7.5m/s or 9m/s haste. That is slower than my Hell hound.
3. Well although Hell hound speed is faster than flying mount speed. It might save me from dying and it is sometimes pretty useful

Is it really worth it?
Hell hound or flying mount?

it all really depends on if you want it or not :P

besides, with flying mounts you can go afk for a while and dont have to worry much about obstacles and suchb:victory

not when you fighting, but if you wanna go somewhere. with land mounts you have to navigate, not so much with flying mounts

Flying mounts are technically more useful (in my opinion, at least), then land mounts, due to the simple fact of one thing: altitude

With a land mount, you have to go through trees, mobs, other players, over bridges, severe lag, around cliffs, etc. For example, to get from Lost City to Dragon's End without teleporting, you'd have to run down to Broken Bridge, over the bridge and trough the valley, then up and around the mountain behind the Den of Wolves, then through a bunch of ruins with at least 4 elite bosses - in addition to regular mobs the entire way, as well as several obstacles.

It may be faster in numbers, but when you look at the practical application, numbers really don't mean anything. The fastest way from point A to point B is always a straight line, at least in this universe :)

That said, I think everyone should have at least one land and one flying mount by the time they hit end game :)

yes its worth it, youll see at some lvls *cough* lvl 70 *cough* that they will be a lot more usefull, in WQ you need them, plus, i afk when going to one place to another, and being in the sky autopathing saves me from trees, rocks and mobs

    Like what you said ^0^.
Maybe i might get 1 of each. Or sell my hell hound
    One more question:
To upgrade my Flying Mount i will need Wind Widgets. How much speed does it increase the mount?

get both, thats wat im gonna do, use ground mount over plains and small hills, when it comes to mountains or water the HELLFIRE DRAKEb:dirty that i will be getting will get me safely and quickly over them. since you already have a flying sword (or should) then a flying mount should come after u get a ground mount if u ask me.

In my opinion it's better to get a flying mount since there's only i think 1 mob that is even at 78 altitute and that's the undines flying above volcanic purgatory. Also there's a chance that the land mount will kick you off if you get hit by mobs.
