New to PW, Need class advice.

Hey there,

I'm currently in the process of patching, and I want to know, what class do you think I'd prefer?

In other games, I like to play the role of tank, and I enjoy melee oriented characters.

But is tanking really big in PW? or should I just stick with Damage Dealing?

I heard barbs are the "Designated" tank, but can they do decent damage?

I am kinda leaning towards Blademaster (I think thats what they are called... Lol) But I'm not sure.

Which has more AoE attacks?

And lastly... anyone know a good (realm/server/world)? I dont want it to be Pvp, and I want a good community.

    blademaster has a LOT of aoe but barbs can tank way better

    and yes, barbs are a big deal in this game


    also, don't join lost city or harshlands if you don't wanna pk

    i don't know which has a better community but you choose

    Tanks and Healers are what is needed just like any other game where you deal with bosses.

    Beyond agreeing with the above... The differences between Heavens Tear and Sanctuary seems to only be in the area of TW (Territory Wars). In Sanctuary, there are two "empire" guilds that each own half of the entire server. In Heavens Tear, it is more broken out between 5-10 different guilds that all gain, hold, and lose territories on a weekly basis.

    Im so joining sanctuary, Im new aswell 95% download. :)

    Im defenetly rolling cleric. I read that i can get paid to join partys and i've always been good at the buffing healing job in my gaming legacy.

    Don't ask for money as it gives Clerics a bad name.

    Yes i know that not to ask for money that is bad gain for reputation for me. But what i meant i read on one of the guides sometimes i can get paid to join partys.
