spend that 500k on a hammer. not only do you get the generals bow but you also get the rest of the supply stash. 42-50 doesnt take too long so an ornamented bow works fine until lvl 46 where you get a bow from a quest. use that till 50 and use generals bow

Unlike the Gen Summer bow or the quest bow, the shooter can be resold. The price dropped considerably when the supply boxes came out, but they seem to have stabilized again. So, you aren't really paying 600K on net, you are risking maybe 100K for the pleasure of using an amazing weapon (even if only for 8 levels). It is definitely worth it.

i loved the sinister shooter....but got it just the week before the supply boxes came out >,< and i got it around my mid forties too, at the point where it got a little hard for me....dont remember why it was hard though...... i got the general summer's bow as well at 50 but still liked the sinister shooter
and like Fit said it can be resold for about the same price

Unlike Sinister Shooter, you *will* be obtaining General Summer's Longbow because you will eventually open it for the later items. Thus, since you are going to obtain the hammer *anyways*, you may as well use the longbow while it is usable.

From everything I have heard, it's a good weapon.

If you have the coin, buy the Sinister Shooter at LVL 42. Grinding will be faster (remember to change your macros, you can get at least one additional attack in before knockback). Sell the SS when you find a significantly better weapon.

IMHO, even if you end up selling the SS for a loss, the time you saved grinding more than makes up for the coin cost.
