What weapons are you planning on using up to 99?

For me, I am using:
lvl 70- Ashura's Sign
lvl 80 - Warsoul!

More realistic and possible plan
lvl 70 - Ashura's Sign
lvl 80- Yaksa
lvl 90- Blade of Red Dust or Wheel of Denied Fate
lvl 99- Fate Denial Godspeed
Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

    80: Wheel of life
90: Wheel of denied fate. Been considering the TT90 gold wheel, but it just do to less damage compared to the green one.
99: (If I ever get there) Gues the TT99 gold wheel.

70: Grief's Breath (TT Green Sword)
80: Endless Ambiguity (TT Green Sword)
90: Wheel of denied fate (TT Green Glaive)
99: Fate Denial Godspeed (TT Gold Glaive)
100: Sinrabansho/Weapon of the Sage? (TT/Rep Red Sword)

It seem everyone have the same plan on "end-game" weapons

Why are all of you baddies planning to use the glaive?
    +3 Crit,
    Max Matk
    +245hp.

That's like the most you could ever ask for in a weapon for a mage.

    Channelling -6%

    Magic +16~17

    Vitality +16~17

That's why. Want more magic attack? Refine. Want more hp? Refine. Crit, okay that's nice have to admit. But the magic + 17 and channeling - 6% really wins it for me. Personal preference of course.

    currently using 90 green glaive

will use the 3% gold at 99, then once my other char's high enough will begin farming for luna gold 95 weapon, since imo its a better choice for hell mage.

    99 Gold Glaive
    99 Gold Sword

Now +5 with grade 8 magic attack stones.
    99 Gold Glaive +5
    Gold 99 Sword +5

Without refines or gems the sword has a higher base and slightly higher max damage. The more u refine the smaller the difference and eventually the glaive takes over as having the highest max damage by about 100ish on your magic attack at +12, however the sword will still have 200ish higher base damage. I would put up a link but im too lazy gotta get some sleep its 3 am here. The links i set up are already there so u can play with it.

Only reason Glaive would be better is because of channeling or looks. Up to you as the player to pick if +3% crit and 75 hp is better then -6% channelling and 157 more magic def.

edit - put in some more info.

Eh.. up til now it was:
Lv60 - Ancient Arbor (of course)
    Lv70 - Sakyamuni's Light
Lv80 - Yaksa Magic Sword (what I have now)

    Planning to get:
Lv90 - Wheel of Denied Fate
    Lv99 - Inferno-Heaven Ravager: Souless
Lv100+ - Nature Talker, if they make 200k rep as easy in PWI as it is in CN.

@Mizu, they are probably talking about the Requiem Blade. Lv89 gold mold mag sword.

sakyamuni offers a large +pdef mod. very good for robed classes. and mages don't really need, nor want consistent damage. that spike from a sword is far superior for someone designed to deal damage.

well yes, for me. but i would put it on a mage, given the chance. the defense it offers is invaludable in pvp. and that +3% physical reduction makes it even more valuable, because raising just the amount of pdef u have doesn't work very effectivly once high enough.

Alacantha is a nice enough weapon, don't get me wrong, but SL is second only to Ashura's Sign for matk and the best of the 4 common 70 weapons for defensive purposes. There is a reason it's so popular. It's also very cheap now with the supply boxes giving 40 free chips total.

The balance of pdef and matk offered by SL is very nice to have in a PvP server for a class that can double any pdef mod given to them by wearing Stone Barrier. Especially before people start gemming their gear. Were PvP not a concern, Ashura's Sign still provides a better magic attack range than Alacantha. I would know, as I had both.

    -
Trouble with using a pdef weapon for endgame levels is, if you've pdef'd out the **** with shards and have heaven or hell stone barrier (not to mention the 96 cape shortly thereafter), 240 pdef from that sword isn't going to make much difference in the percentage of reduction. The 3% reduction is certainly nice, but I wouldn't trade the crit for it [personal preference]. I would be more into it if I were an EP, I think.

    -
Souless is another 'balanced' weapon between damage and defensive properties imo, which is part of why so many people like it.

    -
Oh and @meaangirl, I hit a vit cleric for 3997 with BT no crit my level yesterday with just extreme poison. Technically you can oneshot them if they're dumb enough to not use plume shell, thanks to genies. Though not with endgame gear. b:surrender

i agree that the 200~ pdef that it gives is nothing to gawk at, but the 3% reduction and the 16~17 vit, which offers not only hp but all around defense, is something. though yes, it is based more towards the cleric. i would use it simply for the boosted defense for what i do while i play.

however, the +240 pdef is better for a mage than it is for a cleric. a mage has a self buff that's always up to make that +480 pdef. that's a significant amount.

Going for a Yaksa too, but I can't find a TT70 to decompose if my life would depend on it... :D

I have a +4 TT70 wand right now and I just love it. A +5 TT80 wand would have been wonderfull, but for my plans (occasional PvP, loads of TW/TT/FB the pdef will help) the Yaksa is the way to go.

    yup
I've seen a lot of Venos using it, might work fine for them.
Clerics/Wizzies are better of with something else. The skill multiplier for wpn dmg makes that glaive the most annoying wpn you can have. Sure, Crits on high dmg are wonderful but the rest of the time is just mana waste and getting hit cause the mob is still alive after 4 hits when sometimes 3 were enough to bring him down.
