What would you prefer?

What would you prefer when going out killing bosses?What class a Barb or a BM?I always have problem with this as Cleric.
Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.

    Barb, stack heal him, debuff attack and every one is happy.
    And they hold aggro the best ;p

    b:lipcurl You are not serious, r you? Those two classes cant even compare for their tanking ability! Barbs are MEANT to tank, BMs to stun/protect and DD. Barbs have much more HP, Defense and aggro skills.

    That being said, watch out for the "ultimate n00b Barb" : He holds a bow, has 250 Dexterity and claims he can 1 shot a heavy veno 90+

    Everyone should say Barb. This means you dont have to heal them constantly like a BM AND when you stack a few ironhearts on him and hes gaining faster than losing, then you can attack the boss as well to make up for the loss dmg between BM and Barb. This way, both setups can deal around the same dmg. Barbs just less strain on the Clerics and well.. Im a barb and a cleric as well so im biased. Panda > BM

    Depends.

    If you are going to a boss like, Kong, Krimson where you go striaght to boss, then it's always barb.

    But say FB51, Id choose BM as they can easiler hold Agro of 5-6 mobs+

    Since barbs clearly hold aggro better, obviously barbs

    i dont want to be rude but, in the human fb19, i went with barb lvl 78 and was aggrogin bout half the mobs, and he constantly lost lots of health, i did this fb again, but with a lvl 72 bm, and he didnt even lose about 2% of health. so its debatable

    I know you can get Veno to do this really easy with you but I am talking non dungeon boss.This boss is out in the open as I need to kill Luminic and can't find anyone around the small safe zone to the west.I was looking around for a barb but I was thinking of a BM.

    A BM tanked Luminoc for me. You'll have a harder time healing him than if you do it with a BM, but I think you'll still be fine. :)

    I would say it depends on what sort of BM you are talking about. Some of them can hold aggro just as good as a Barb if not better. (Namely Fisties in endless spark combos) others are great for mopping up AoE (Yeah...I do not need to tell you what kind that is). If you are fighting a boss and the only DD IS your Tank then BM all the way. It is going to take a lot longer for a Barb and if he is a Tiger you better get out your DS or something because it is going to take FOREVER.

    BM = Better for Groups & Only DD situations

    Barb = Better for Larger Parties & Single very nasty bosses.

    What is DD and what do you mean by DS?I probably know this but can't think of it atm.
