What makes it grow?

Ok, maybe this has been asked before but my search turned up no results.

I am new to cleric class but not to this game.

The white quills that grow out of the head of clerics and archers, what makes them grow?

Is it rep? Is it level? What triggers them to grow longer? Thnx.

    Ummmmm.....they stay the same.

    Kinda like the bat or bunny ears on a veno. They are just there from the beginning.

    wrong, when I first started I had 1 on each side of my head. They have now grown and there are 3 of them and they are much longer. If u are a cleric you are very unobservant.

    they don't grow you dolt.

    archers and clerics have 2 different types of feathers. archers have a single, longer feather. clerics have 3 more elegant feathers.

    the fact that you resorted to name calling only personifies your character. Say what you want. I didn't start out with the quills I have. IF you are a cleric/archer then ur not very observant. I started out with 1 count it 1 quill on each side coming out. I now have 3 on each side coming out and they are longer. So if I *started* that way wouldn't it be the same now?

    It amazes me how such a little question could set you off so boldly. And not only that make you look ignorant because you don't know what youre talking about.

    my gosh you're right. i mean, i've only been a cleric for the last 83 levels.. what could i possibly know about my own class? please enlighten me. oh, and some pics would be nice.

    The topic title scared me a little. I didn't know what to expect b:laugh

    It should be easy to prove your point - make a new cleric and post it along with a pic of your current cleric. We will all be able to see the difference you're talking about then. I'd gladly assist, but I never got past level 5 on my cleric b:chuckle

    I am not on my home computer, but I do have pics from the time I was level 1 till now. I just don't have the low level pics available as they have never been uploaded to a photo-sharing site.

    However, I consider myself to be very observant and have never seen a change in my "quills" (as you call them). If this was so, I am sure that you would not be the first person to whom I have heard this question from.

    Can you please maybe post some pics of what you mean by "1 quill"?

    PS --> You two getting snippy at each other is counter productive. Although, not including the attitude, I am leaning more on the side of Forp (shoot me now please b:chuckle). Had anyone said something like this about a Wizzy and then said to you that they "must not be observant," the same tension and attitude might arise. You are not a Cleric you are a Wizzy in all sense of the terms until you start to level it out.

    You might want to post some screenshots.I have never seen them grow as I have never seen my Venos bunny ears grow.I have always seen them the same as lvl1 to now.

    Translation: When I first started playing the Elven race, I rolled an Archer (1 long slick pointy quill). I later switched to Cleric (3 smaller, curved quills) to give that profession a try.

    Either that, or you really need to put the bong away and go back to playing your Wizard. Nothing 'grows' on them, so you should be safe.

    Has anyone tested whether Graphics Settings (or even Zoom) have any effect on how the headfeathers on a Cleric appear? At a casual glance at low res, pulled out, the detailing on the headwings probably isn't too great - making them look like one instead of the three that they are.

    It should be easy enough to try out - if I remember I'll poke at my own Cleric to see what happens between Low Res and High Res.

    There's a chance that if you started off playing the Cleric with Low Res, perhaps a little bit zoomed out, that the feathers appeared to be just one. Plus, in earlier levels you may have been paying more attention to what was going on around you, getting a more peripheral look at your cleric's head. At later levels they're nicer too look at (early armors are just SOOO gorgeous after all.)

    Then maybe when you got farther you switched to a higher res, or got in closer, and started looking at your Cleric a bit more. The higher res, closer look, and better attention to your snazzier-dressed Cleric may have resulted in the better detailing of the three-feather headwings becoming noticible to you.

    I just thought I'd provide a quick update on something I noticed last night:

    If you turn off personal customisation - so that we all have the same boring grey haircut and the same boring plain face - the feathers on the female Cleric's head change. Instead of 3 feathers, it becomes 1 big (fat?) feather, very much like the NCP Elves you see in Plume and Archosaur. When I switched personal customisation back on, the feathers reverted back to normal.

    Maybe it's just my crappy graphics card, but that's what I saw.

    Cleric have 3 little feather in their head called qiulls is what we are discussing.When you look at my lvl 2 SS I am using the lowest settings and at 51 1280x1178.I have scrolled in/out several time and noticed they are the same.I have no idea why your mothers look different maybe submit support ticket to get the gms to ask the design team why.
