Magmite question

I just started a second account as a venomancer and at level 17, I had just bought a volcanic magmite egg from a catshop. After reading the posts on here, lots of people say that a crystalline magmite is one of the best pets. Can anyone clarify which magmite is better?

    crystallite magnite (17) is slightly better than the lvl 18 magnite in stats

    The level 18 golem comes with an extra skill though. It's a matter of preference.

    C.Mag ends up with slightly higher stats, V.Mag costs less to maintain (you don't have to buy Tough, the end dif is like 100k or something b/c you still have to upgrade Bash to lvl 2 anyway).

    In the end, it doesn't really matter one way or the other. They're both wicked tanks.

    But bash is higher on the CMag at start up. And if you go with 3 attack skill plus Threaten you would have to remove tough anyway.

    You can always buy or upgrade skills, but no matter how much money you have, you cannot change the base stats. Therefore CMag is better, even if it only by a wee little tiny bit.

    However, if you already have a VMag, jsut keep it, I am sure you would not really be able to tell the difference unless you were looking at the stats side by side

    true, on ecatomb.net it shows both pets side by side at lvl 90 and the difference is like 8 attack and some 12 defense
