I was pretty impressed by the stats of my Glaive i got from the Virridus quest(lvl49ish) till some other guy told me to upgrade my lame weapon. So how about we create a level by level wepon discussion that newbies could use to their benefit? It really does not help me a lot atm to hear about uber TT90 weapons and i think for a lot other low-mid mages out there as wel. So let we hear your weopon walk-through at at least a 5lvl interval! Thanx a bunch..

Ps Please discuss prices as well if possible. A WoF is nice to have but very price and out of the reach of the average Wiz...

To be honest I used that thing until I got my arbor, nothing wrong with it-but it gets quite weak in the last few levels. Nowadays for 500-550k you can upgrade to the stash weapon(the boxes that follow that weapon MORE than return your investment, Flawless Citrine FTW!).

Here goes:

lvl1-4:Quest reward for your starter quest

lvl5-10(?):Stash weapon(Not sure if this is right)

lvl11-19:Quest reward(not sure where it's from, the something Pestle)

lvl20-33:FB19 Quest reward

lvl34-44:Raybender Sword(try for 3* or 2* from the AH)

lvl44-48:Raybender(if it's a 3 star with shards) or 2* lvl40-45 weapon

lvl48-(50)59:Virridis Reward(Devil Hunter ring)
(50-60:stash weapon)
lvl60-70:Ancient Arbor

After this things get complex depending on your budget and personal preferances. You'll need to work out for yourself what TT path your going to take(at lvl60+ you'll essentially only use something if it's Legendary, TT or phenominally good. Many people begin planning ahead in the late 60's).

After FB19 reward better craft yourself weapons which goes x9 till Ancient Arbor.

The problem of your way getting weapons by quests is that you can't complete them without party (which mostly contains high level chars) or you already being 10 levels higher which makes those rewards absolete. b:laugh

Btw Arbor will stay much more longer than till 70 (unless you're 1.insane farmer 2.RM heavy investor 3.have very generous friends 4.Have Veno as main char +1.b:chuckle)

I've never recieved any weapon reward which was completely obsolete, except the Jewelscalen reward because I got the Virridis one right after.

At the AH you can get the mats for Grief's breath(TT70) for around 900k or a Saky's for 1.3mil.

Crafting weapons for yourself every 10 levels is inadvisable given the low chance of making anything better than a regular npc weapon, besides it's expensive you'd have to be an insane farmer otherwise.

I currently own four TT souledges, three xenoblades and one grief's breath. Took about 3hrs to get the mats.

lol i was able to afford my wheel of fate at 42, there not that expensive if your careful what you spend your cash on

i used my fb 19 wand till 31 when i brought a cheap 2 star npc wand with some nice stats on it and i used that till 39 then i used a 3 star Exorcision Pestle with +3 vit +4 magic and +17 max magic attack and now i'm using my shiny wheel of fate

Wheel of fate imho is not worth it with the 50 stash weapon now
