Clothing colors displaying improperly.

I've been experiencing a pretty troublesome issue centered around my ability to view clothing properly (Specifically clothing that can come in different colors).
For example: I have a pair of chain pants dyed gray, and to everyone else they appear gray - however on my computer they are showing up in exactly the same color as they appear in the cash shop. (White/Black).
The same is also true of the wedding outfit (Pants/Boots). I'm told mine are purple and bluish, however they look black to me.
All 'normal' armor sets and items (basically any item that does not have those little boxes describing its color) appear fine.
I have searched the forum pretty extensively and found a few different topics (Dated pretty far back) with people having the same issue - but they were all dismissed as being a result of a underpowered video card/computer. That is not the case with mine.
My computer is running an Nvidia Gforce 8800GT - 512mb dedicated ram - although vista tends to bump it up to 1.7gb with the whole dynamic vram memory allocation. Drivers updated to 3.27.2009 (Official nvidia driver)
Processor: Intel q6600 Quad core
Psu's 900watts, mobo's a pretty generic intel board, kinda irrelevant really.
If there's any other info you need feel free to ask - I didn't bother posting a dxdiag screenshot since it would just show an 8800gt using 1.7gb ram, with drivers updated as of 3.27.2009. :P
Any help would be appreciated, I found enough unresolved posts on the forum were the administrator simply said "Your video cards not good enough" that its probably time to figure out how to actually resolve the issue since my video card isn't likely to be an issue. :P

All chain pants are pretty much alike. They are pretty much going to end up dark-colored no matter what color they are dyed. Only part that changes is the cloth hanging on the side.
Wedding outfits have a default color that can not be affected by dyes and do not represent the color they are "dyed".0 -
I've already verified there are clear color differences between what -I- see compared to what everyone else see's.
IE: A green, brown, purple, and gray chain pants do not all look exactly the same. If its really necessary I'll have someone screenshot the differences - however this is a problem that has been reported in at least 3 other topics. :P0 -
When I say dark-colored for chain pants (jacket too), I do not mean black, I mean that it's a darker shade of the color.0

I understand what you mean - but it does not change that the colors I see are different then the colors that display in the "color" boxes.
So far every "Special" clothing item appears on my computer as being exactly the same color as it is shown in the cashshop, regardless of its dyed color.
Any resolution?0 -
I think I may have a solution for you. In the game settings under the UI tab there's a check-box for customizations and proxy settings. If those are off, that may be your problem.
If that doesn't work then I think I'm having the same problem as you. I was just told that chain pants are supposed to be white except for the side thing, but in EVERY chain pants that I've seen, the legs are the same as the color boxes. Also, I was told grooms pants are all the same regardless of the color boxes. I've seen many different colors.
I don't know if any of our troubles are related.0 -
im having the same problem, nothing i've done has fixed it. i've been trying to experiment with ALL solutions and nothing has worked. I'm talking about bikini tops and vixen wraps and crystal love dresses though, they appear the SAME color to me on everyone! But everyone else can see what color it is...=(
any help from anyone on this?0 -
Matty, Nicoal, I'm going to need some more information from you. Go to Start, click on Run (or Search if using Vista), and type in dxdiag and press enter.
Click on the Display tab, and then post here everything in the Device and Drivers boxes:
