Something went wrong...

Right. I'm a lvl 21 veno, durr. And recently, when I've been buying weapons and peeking around, I've noticed that my stats are very different from what they should be. Much, much lower.

HP = 906
MP = 1087

CON = 33 MAG = 46
STR = 20 AGI = 26

I'm not really sure what really went wrong, but I can't use many weapons for my level, and I die fast and it takes too long to kill mobs sometimes. Yeah, so I've pretty much realized that my character sucks, to make it short.

Anyone that can help me and tell me what exactly I've done wrong, and if there's anything I can do to make it right~? b:beg

    yeah you have too much dex and too much vit

    pure int venos should have

    STR = 15
    DEX = 5
    VIT = 5
    MAG = Rest

    at lvl 21

    That's assuming the original poster is using an arcane build. Even so adding a little vitality isn't a bad thing early on before you get the money to get good HP shards.

    The stats the original poster has show work out to be pretty close to a light armor veno at level 21.

    Venomancer has one of the worst vit to hp ratios. Most veno builds leave this at 5 until after they have raised strength/dex high enough for armor. Most of their HP comes from levels and equipment. At most levels, regardless of build, a veno won't survive more than 4-5 hits from anything their level. It is only with good gear, and using skills to your advantage that you can live more than that. This is why veno needs a good pet, the pet can take the hits, while you heal the pet and help kill. Generally, a veno which is being hit is a veno who has made some mistakes somewhere.

    I suggest going and actually questing in an area that has nothing but aggressive mobs with any type of veno, and playing a FOX FORM veno before saying something that isn't necessarily true, and tends to be false more often than it is true.

    Um... learn to pull? Even fox veno can pull. Getting attacked from spawns behind you is making a mistake, healing your pet before it has hit everything is a mistake, not unsummoning your pet when you have 4-5 spawns attacking, is a mistake. So is not learning how to manage agro, how to read agro distances on spawns, and trying to fight off, or summon a new pet when one dies. Just because it is a mistake doesn't mean death, just means a mistake to learn from. On my veno, I tend to make alot of mistakes, called being human. The point is that venos who are not being built specifically to tank should let their pet take most of the hits, and learn how to use pet skills to maintain agro, and control their pet in a way that keeps them from getting hit.

    And it is a general idea, not necessarily always the case. If you can't live through more than a couple hits, chances are that trying to tank spawns is not a good idea. Fox venos are an entirely different story since... *gasp* they're usually being built to tank mobs. I said "generally", rather than "ideally" or "always" simply because there are certain instances where this is not the case.

    Venos get 12 HP per Vit. Compared to Wizards and Priests who get 10 HP per Vit and Archers who get 13 HP per Vit, I would hardly say Venos have one of the worst HP to vit ratios. BMs and Barbs do get a lot more HP per vit, but you can't really compare casters/archers to BM/Barbs since the latter is meant to tank and take hits while the former are meant to attack from a distance and use skills/pets to keep the mobs at bay.

    As for the OP, your stats look a bit screwy. If you're going for Robes, your Dex and Str are too high. If you're going Light Armor, you're Vit is too high. Light Armor Venos don't have any points to spare for Vit. You could think about restarting since you're only level 21.

    I wouldn't honestly worry about restatting at a such a low level. Honestly what I would do is roll a new char and liquidate this one, meaning selling off all the gear, decomposing etc., and mailing it to the new char.

    no need to rerole, simply switch to using light armor fox form since your str/dex ratio is already about right. You also don't need near as much MP to wield a good weapon the lvl 22 mirage sword only requires 60 points in MP. All that you need now is some good gear that adds vit stats making it easy to split between str/dex for armor and the rest going to mag so you can use the lvl 50 and 60 mag weapons. The only thing you have to remember is going to using only fox form your pet heal is gonna be somewhat gimped compared to going straight arcane build. Not that it matter quite as much since fox form venos can take a bit more hits than arcane but not quite as much as a heavy fox. However, being on a PVE server you will likely see mostly arcane build venos.
