Herc buffs -> Can't normal pets get them ?

I fought a unbuffed and buffed hercules. Huge difference, but still lost -_-


I almost killed the unbuffed hercules, and it's because of the buffs, the pdef and mdef buffs.

Since the herc is pretty much like any other pet without buffs, can't normal pets like the magmite have these "legend" buffs ?

There has to be scrolls or something...

    Yes regular pets can have these skills. They are simply rare pet scrolls obtained from the 60+ Tuesday event: Dragon Temple.

    Yes, you can get those skills on any pet. You just have to survive long enough in Dragon Temple to kill all the pvpers around you, than the mobs guarding the chests, than get lucky enough to get one the books, instead of a bikini. OR spend around 3-4mil per skill.

    However, none of the regular pets will ever match any of the legendary, since in the case of the Herc, it has about 1500 more HP than a regular pet, very high p and m def and high attack; or in the case of the phoenix, it has almost 2k more attack. You can close the gap quite a bit, but they will never "be the same" as a legendary.
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    thats kinda funny...people say if you're going to collect the herc skills and train them onto a mag, might as well just get a herc, since the skill books are so expensive. so if you were to sell it, why would anyone buy it in the first place? maybe if one of the herc buff skills were to be the phoenix's 4th skill, it would be wicked sick?

    Depending on your server, 5m coins a piece and up. Considering Harshland's economy, you're probably better off buying a herc.

    On HT, I've seen Strong (herc pdef buff) go for 5 mil, Protect (herc mdef buff) go for 4 mil, Reflect (reflects 60% of melee damage) go for 4 mil. Add those up and factor in cost to level them up (herc starts with all those skills maxed), and you've already paid 75% of the cost of a herc. Just get the herc.

    The only intriguing use I've seen for those skills on regular pets is for a close-knit guild with few or no hercs. Put them on a golem, then trade the golem egg to whichever guild veno happens to be on whenever the guild wants to do TT or whatever.

    I have a Strong scroll and am considering putting it on my phoenix. I think most of the market for these scrolls involve putting herc skills on a phoenix, or phoenix skills on a herc.

    Any pet can be taught those skills if you can manage to find one.
