Herc / Nix ?

If I plan on buying one or the other using nothing but in-game money, how long should it take to reach the amount I need and when will it be a good time to begin saving?

    start as soon as possible. keep up your nessessary spells for your build then put all other money into the bank. never use teleport masters. dont buy anything. have fun being poor for the next 50 levels.

    To prevent yourself from being tempted to spend your coin on other things, I advise you use all your money to buy SoFs/Gold from AH. That way you don't have a huge reserve of money sitting in your bank. It's what I'm doing, and is working so far. Started around level 55. I'm 60 now and have a little over 3k SoF's so far.

    I agree with what's been said.. decide what's vital for grinding, which is basically level 6 of your boost/grace and maxed ironheart/venomous.. the rest doesn't matter.
    Save the money you'd spend on skills. I started around 55 as well, 67 now, and I have 5.7 mill and 80 battle pet packs. So.. maybe almost halfway there? I hope it's not too much longer.
    Also if herc/nix really is your ultimate goal don't spend money on guardian angels or justice quests.

    I disagree with teleporting though. I'm of the opinion that smart teleporting saves you money.

    Not teleporting lets you get a herc at a lower level.
    Teleporting lets you get a herc sooner.

    People mistakenly believe that "lower level" = sooner, even though it's more time. In reality, if you don't teleport, you're not grinding/saving money faster, you're just leveling slower.

    I got my nix at lvl 43 and my herc at lvl 68

    Havn't spent any real money on pwi

    Teleports up to 1k are fine. Dont spend 3k to return to archosaur, instead port to the easternmost untamed village (forget its name) and fly to arch.
    When you get to 40 you can use the cube of fate as a quick way to return to Arch.

    Sell your stuff in catshops if you can leave your pc on overnight.
