1 str 6 mag every two levels will be minimum to wear robes and wield your magic weapon. With the remaining 3 points, I personally threw them all in magic, but I also poured a lot of money into gear to help me survive. Tossing 1 or 2 of those points into vit isn't an awful idea.
i do not recommend light armor for clerics, but if you want more info about it or any thing else about your class, I recommend reading the sticky at the top of this forum.

Position Details: Be able to incite people to flames and perform miracles such as telling people what's right and what's wrong. Be able to dish out flames to other people so fire extinguishers are needed to put out the flames. Most of all, giving others a piece of reality.

Till lv 50 go 9mag 1str, cause you really dont need vit that early, it will help you lv faster.
Then after lv 50 start adding vit, you will want 50vit before lv70+b:dirty0 -
That is every 2 lvl of coarse as for skills Ironheart, Plume Shot,Great Cyclone.Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.0

But Vitality isn't really necessary, right?
I was thinking about stopping at 40 Vitality...
When my Vitality is 40 I wanna do this: 9 Mag, 1 Str every 2 levels
Is that a good idea or should the Vit be higher?0 -

I would just go 7 Mag, 1 Str, 2 Vit all the way from level 1 to 99.
You end up with 5 + 98 Vit = 103 Vit final
You end up with 5 + 49 Str = 53 Str final

How bout if I stop at 75 Vitality? Then 9 Mag and 1 Str every 2 levels.

I don't really care for Vitality on a Cleric, so thats good to hear
Maybe Ill stop on 65 if thats the case...
BTW, I'm using Arcane armor. Do I need Vitality to equip, like, the strongest arcane armor for instance (if that day ever comes)?
Or maybe some special Arcane armor that need vitality?0 -
No, Heavy Armor needs 5 Str and 1 Dex per 2 levels to equip the latest for your level, Light Armor needs 2 Str and 2 Dex per 2 levels (or 1 - 1 per level <.<;) and Arcane needs 5 Mag and 1 Str to equip the latest....0

You need 15 mag in between 2 equipment levels (aka 10 levels), thus make for your own fit =P
And btw, Mag Weps need 3 mag per level (30 mag over 10 levels), and that's what covers the 6mag 1str progression ^_^0 -
i've kinda grown fond of my friend that's a heavy armoured priest. has 9.1k hp buffed at level 89.
and, you would think he's easy to kill because of his heavy armour, but his armour gives him so much damned hp that he can use 1, maybe 2 heals and tank 96 mage that uses triple fury. or you would think his heals are weak, but he actually solo heals belial/illsuion parties when a 2nd priest isn't available.0 -

I personally like two builds; Light Armored and Hyrbid.
Light Armored: 2str, 2dex and 6mag every two lvls.
Hyrbid: 1str, 3vit and 6mag every two lvls.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Can I ask what shards you use with light build? I went this route with the cleric and having problems soloing caster mobs, which I find kind of disconcerting (my primary character is a wizard).
Chose light cause I figured it would give me slightly more survivability when things went wrong. I don't really have a problem keeping up with healing a barb friend in basically anything, but when it comes to soloing anything purely magic it doesn't totally work out my way.

I would like to see you vs any AOEing boss, and after that i dont think you will ever say more mag the better, it will be more hp/vit the better xD
@fistiky, thats why most ppl go arcane with vit. LA clerics are good but not early in game cause you just gimp your leveling progress.b:dirty0
