From +4 to +5 is a big jump in price, but is it worth it?

    What item is it, what is your budget and when are you going to replace it.

    You are only in your 50's its not worth + ur gear now since you will out lvl your gear rather fast even if your not trying too hard. When you get to ur 70's i dont recomend + your gear higher then +4 but it all depends on if you lvl fast or slow. 80's you can refine your gear a lil higher if you like and 90's + as much as you can on your lvl equivalent TT gear.

    Here is a website to find the gear you have on it and look at the refine part it will tell you how much each + adds to your attack or hp bonus also theres pwicalculators out there just google it.

    I dont think that refining before 60 is interesting ( you elvel too fast and change too quick your gear and weapons)

    but after 70- 80 its quite interesting.

    on 80 gear, +4 gives 116 hp, +5 gives 154

    a weapon 86 and 114
    I look at all the trollers, and Pvpers.. and know they wouldnt have lasted 30sec on Camelot.

    Rules= Know your enemy (players and NPCs) gives you more chances to survive.

    I know I level sorta fast during these levels, so I'm refining the tt60 xbow right now lol.

    um i never posted but your welcome.

    do -NOT- refine swiftwind crossbow, youll end up getting rid of it so quickly. i was always told by 90+ players not to worry about refines until maybe some 80/90 gear which will end up being your -final- gear. 1-2 refines wont hurt but anything higher wouldve been a waste

    The highest I ever refined anything to pre90 was to +1.

    I just made my whole TT 90 armor +4 and I'm deciding if I should make it +5 or not.

    +5 armor.....buy lots of rep....

    tough choice.

    To be efficient, you should spend about as much per hp point on refines as you do on shards/sockets. Otherwise you're missing out on cheap hp.

    Edit: I level slow, so I was planning on going +2 for my 80 gear. Now that orbs are 1/2 off, I'll probably +3 some of it instead. Before that, I would just throw 1-2 mirages and see if I got a +1.

    Thats a bit much. I'm only doing +4 or 5 on my TT 90 with flawless shards. Too bad my 90 set is all only 2 sockets. Oh well I'll replace it later anyway with 99. As long as I get 6k hp buffed I'm fine.b:victory

    lol her name is like ca... something that starts with a C >_> she wastes enormous amounts of money on PW, and has a heavy armored wizard. i dont see why she didnt do that to a requiem blade

    Oh, all his armor was 4 slots and +6 too, if I remember correctly. Silly blademasters. ;)

    I saw a bow level 54 (not sure about the level but was less than 60), WHITE, thats right one start WHITE = JUNK, Refined +5 and had 2 FLAWLESS GARNET SHARDS. Biggest fail I ever found, btw i saw the bow in a cat shop for 35K only, yes its a fail.

    If she's wearing heavy armor, it's been refined to h*ll because her mag stat is low (stat points put into str and dex to let her wear heavy armor). Her mag is probably not high enough to wield the TT60 weapon, much less a requiem blade.

    Obviously, he spent a fortune with Jolly Jones. Spent a fortune refining everything to +6 too. I only say 'obviously' because he appeared with all that about a week after the event was over.

    It's doable, just got to find the right gear, and requiem blade is a favorite of L90 heavy veno due to its massive stat bonuses.

    refining isn't worth it until about +8.

    @zoe: i thought you said you weren't trying to level?
