give me one good reason to pull *any* boss anywhere in SP. you cant, because there are no good reasons. they are in seperate rooms, for the reason of keeping the damage they do confined to that room, and away from other players who are there for other mobs/bosses. there are many players who go in alone to get drops, to do quests that require particular mobs, etc. and those people are not ready or able to take on bosses. so to pull a boss out of its room knowingly is just plain griefing for the sake of being hateful.

the rules on griefing/pulling and such desperately need clarification and to be enforced with an iron hand....not the 'bad today, but ok tomorrow' kind of way that it has been so far.

When you get a few more levels and have to kill Silver Frost. Please remember this post and kill Silver Frost in the same place it spawns.... Right next to Dismal.....
Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

guess what? i've been in many squads for him, and he was killed every time in his corner. all you have to do is keep him in his corner-start the battle while he is near the back wall.

problem solved. only squads who arent strong enough and cant control their mob let them run around the room to aggro dismal

Smart players pull mobs to where they feel comfortable killing them, and there is nothing in the rules that say you cannot do so within reason.

    Period, end of story.

The problem is not with silver frost, the problem is with dismal. There are people who often pull dismal all the way to the entrance just for the fun of clearing the area.

Maybe dismal should be scripted so that it does not follow if people leave the room? Solve the problem rather quickly.

To weed out the people who haven't learned how to control aggro by level 70. Or if they do draw aggro, they don't run around like a chicken with its head cut off aggroing everything else in the area. If you have competent players, it's pretty easy to keep him in the corner, out of Dismal's aggro range. Only the corner tombstone should give you problems.

Problem is, pulling Dismal to the entrance blocks off access to all of SP and FB29 to everyone due to his AOE. If their real intent is to kill Dismal without being bothered by the AOE mobs in his room, the rooms just around the corner with the Ancient Evils would do fine. People pull him to the entrance just to be asses.

Silver Frost can be taken out the room but not placed in the safe zone.

If dismal bugs me when I'm taking silver frost, I simply kill it then continue. Only takes a few moments. Or I just ignore it, not like its poison is any kind of a threat.

However when I was level 40 and got the quest to kill it I remember how fast the party I was in got wiped by him, just a few seconds. lol

Taking him out of the room should be considered griefing, simple as that. He hits too hard on lower levels.

Sigh. You'll find life is generally more pleasant if you don't assume people have the worst intentions. There's no need to get offended or be defensive. I said nothing to counter you point (and in fact I agree with it). I just wanted to clarify that pulling Dismal to the SP entrance to kill him there is most definitely not reasonable.

i've worked with you and others on silver- thanks for the backup!

though it takes time to beat silver down sometimes, its a simple thing to keep him contained, and whoever is nearest to the tombstone can swat it down whenever it respawns. to illustrate, here is a map:

and you are right about people learning how to control aggro...even someone far below lv70 can learn how to handle aggro. its something that you learn long before your first FB. if someone hasnt learned it by then, then they are better off playing Neopets or something similar to that.

Solandri, don't assume things about someone's life that you really have no clue about, and there are terms out there used to voice agreement or disagreement, it's your choice to use them or not to use them.

I'm not the one who jumped into an ad hominem attack (twice!) based on misinterpreting the meaning behind someone's post.

I have nothing against you, and in fact I think you are among the most sensible posters on these forums. I just don't feel the need to heap praise over and over, much like I don't call people idiots (I think Zoe is the only one I've done that to here). When I make a comment on a topic, it's virtually guaranteed I do so with no ill will directed at the author of the post I'm replying to.

If it will help: My sincerest apologies if what I wrote lacked clarity and caused you to misinterpret what I meant because I did not affirm the main point of your post. I do try to preview and proofread what I post, but it's not always possible to catch every way my posts could be misinterpreted.

Bottom line, boss-dragging is considered griefing, and is a bannable offense.
