Help With Two Problems

Okay, me and my friends are trying to get together on PW. I just switched to PW from Maple Story(I must say was a good idea, PW rox!) and I want to make a faction for me and my friends from MS. Problem is, I have no idea how! Can someone tell me how to make a faction. Second, I know this is technical stuff, but i wasnt sure where to put this question cuz i have two questions that are unrelated to each other. My friend Neko from MS cant log in to PW. She said something about the patcher saying Client Outdated, and it wont let her update.

    If she is already at the current version of 141 please tell her to try a verify from the launcher.

    As to the making of a guild/faction you must be lvl 20 and have 100,000 ingame coin to make one at the "Faction Supervisor" in Archosaur.

    tysm, i'll do that. umm, maybe u can help me with another prob, since ur a mod. I was told that after lvl 30, players dont need permission to fight you, and you'll lose exp. is that true? if it is, wut can i do? i dont wanna fight other players if thers risk involved. plz help

    On the PvP servers yes you will automatically go white-named which means anyone over 30 can attack you. If you really don't like PvP I would advise switching to a PvE server.

    You don't lose experience when another player kills you (as far as I know anyway). However, there is a chance that you may drop and item or piece of equipment. If your name is white then I think it's only a 1% chance (maybe 0%) pink or red names mean you have a much higher chance of dropping an item though. You get a pink or red name by attacking/killing other players so as long as you don't then you should be relatively safe.

    Harshlands and Lost City are PvP servers which means that you'll automatically be in PK mode once you hit level 30. All the other servers are PvE so you have the option of turning on PK mode when you reach level 30 (come to Dreamweaver, we're the land of gumdrops and icecream). When you enter PK mode then you're stuck that way for at least 10 hours.

    harshlands is a pvp server, which means idiots can kill you any time past thirty, try sanctuary dreamweaver or heavens tear.

    and aryanna im gunna pass you in about a week lol...

    thx for the help Ikurei, but after the mod starting posting on my thread, i decided id best listen to what she thinks over anyone else. afterall, wut she says is more valid

    no she isnt lol, shes an unpaid administrative aid. she is a normal player and only has power to move, lock, and delete threads lol. oh and edit if theyre naughty.

    but i guess a lvl 87 has almost as much experience as a mod. thx for your help, no more harshlands then. now ur absolutely sure i wont be attacked in sanctuary, dreamweaver ect.

    yes, you get to choose if you do, by turning PVP on and off.

    to make a faction, there is a faction NPC in the city of archosaur which you can goto at 20+. faction cost 100k coins to make. you can easily find him with the coordinates aid button at the top right by the minimap

    well, she wouldnt be a mod if she was just a normal player. you gotta earn the right to be a mod. dont insult the mods. if shes anything like the mods on MS, insulting her will just come back to bite you in the butt

    get 100k? too easy. you wanna make 1 too? i find the best way to get coins is to train, get a whole bunch of soft furs and sell em at the NPC shops

    As long as you don't enter PK mode then you'll be fine.

    the GMs just find normal people who are helpful with the community to be one o.O; its not like theyre like super special children of god who stand out to be handpicked to guide us sheep. but you did ask about factions in your originial post didnt you?

    PK? we dont have that term on MS. wuts it mean?


    course, u guys dont have the term KS on PW, guess it balances out

    Welcome to Perfect World! I play the Harshlands server as well, and find it to be a lot of fun :) We have a mixed bag of people - you'll like some, you'll hate some, and you'll love some. And others you won't ever notice. We have a very active forum here on the boards but it gets a little... heated at times XD Some of the PvE boards have more manners, though that might be debateable.

    For levels 1-29 on all servers, your name is blue and you are safe from Player Versus Player - PvP. When you reach level 30 on a PvP server (Lost City, Harshlands), your name will turn white. That means that you can attack any other (non-blue) player, and any non-blue player can attack you. On the PvE servers, your name stays blue unless you decide to change it to PvP white. And you can change it back.

    There are different penalties for when you die, based on your name color and whether a monster or a player killed you. You can find out all the details in the chart here:

    I suggest staying on Harshlands to give the PvP part a try. As I'm sure you've noticed, leveling a character goes pretty quickly for the first 30 levels so, if you really want to go to PvE after this, you can. You'll have to make an entirely new character, because characters are server-bound - you won't be able to transfer the one you already have to one of the PvE servers.

    PK = player kill. its what its called when another player kills you.

    i guess i did wander off topic. srry, bad habit. and i wasnt saying ther that special. i guess becoming a mod is a lot easier on PW. On MS theres a whole bunch of realy hard **** u gotta do first

    its not so much that it's easier per se, the GMs just have to notice youre very friendly, and helpful to he community, which in general, i am not :P.

    its wut its called wen another player kills the monster your already fighting. very annoying and consideed harassment

    these are the rules, no KSing in them at all.

    sounds easier to me, on MS i asked a GM about becoming a mod. He said get to lvl 200 and defeat every boss monster and complete your monster book.

    being helpful? too easy, i already do that. im going to college to become more helpful

    theres no rules against cuz i have found that its ner impossible to KS anyone in this game. apparently, if you do the most damage to a monster in this game you get the credit for killing it
