1. A genie can learn 3 skills at the start, and I think you can learn up to 4.

2. I use my Discipline Genie for a full vit build. Able to use a few skills without having worry about waiting for them to refill.

3. For PVE use of course 'Tree of Protection' to heal, 'Holy Path' just incase you ever get zerged with mobs or are running from a boss, 'Extreme Poison' so you can lure and do more dmg, and maybe 'Relentless Courage' if you can get 4 skills.

4. Genie equips aren't very important, plus they cost WAY too much. Don't bother with those unless you have a 60+ stat genie.

I personally use my genie only for emergencies and very challenging fights, so my skill set includes Tree of Protection, Tangling Mire, and Blinding Sand. I use the former when my potions aren't going to be sufficient and the latter on tough monsters, such as bosses. 40 dex is recommended for this setup.
