AoE Grind with Veno

Hey. I'm usually grinding air mobs with sawfly, but I would like to try AoE grinding with herc and Noxious Gas. I need some advice.

The problems I encounter are:
1) Finding mobs that will melee herc rather than stand back and cast
2) Not drawing aggro from herc while still killing at a rate that makes AoE grind worth it.

P.S. QQ about Legendary Pets in some other thread plz.

Ask your BM friends. Generally, the mobs they AOE grind on work for you too. I think at your level Seaweed thieves by Sanc work since they're melee and Earth based to boot.

I find that the best way to not steal aggro is to have the Herc hit every mob at least once to round them up and then when you start using Noxious, keep switching the Herc's target. That way the Herc is generating aggro in all the mobs with bash and norm attacks in addition to the reflect damage. Also, pay close attention to any "Increased Defense" mobs since those are more likely to peel off towards you.

When I aoe grind with my veno on Seaspray wolves, I like to attack each mob with at least 1 bash + how ever many regular attacks. Also, like the previous person said, keep switching herc's target, generally targeting increased def/hp mobs. If I get 3 normal hits + bash on each target, I generally dont steal aggro from herc. (Im full magic, with +5 ashura sign)

Also, i find that starting with the 2 spark ulti, the purple skill, forgot the name, works the best. Due to that fact that it seals most of 'em giving you time to pop in a heal, then run if necessary and get herc to regain aggro on lost mobs.
I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play-
I dropped the worry on the way-
And God was good to me everyday.

As a (mostly) pure arcane build I find earth mobs to be painfully slow to aoe grind. Their high def makes herc aggro weak, and combined with the extra dmg it's just too much running around.

    It's fun though b:chuckle

As a modification to "standard" aoe grinding I find that gathering a bunch up and then single targeting them down is fairly quick for a land grind. The reflect dmg is a good head start on aggro and it adds up during big pulls.

Biggest problem as veno if you wanna aoe-grind with herc is the Bms lol

There is only so few decent spots with mele-mobs where u can solo: seaweed, seaspray wolfs and Nighscream island. Than 80+ its the wolfs at Burning heart and Plain of farewell mele mobs. But at all the mele spot, u will find all the BM on the server aoe-grinding. Even if u stay away from the main spot just gather some mobs in the far corners, many BMs will still whisper you "gtfo this spot is only for BM" or they will accidentally lovetap you with dragon + aoe.

The lvl 78 Seaspray wolfs is one of the few spots i mostly found empty tho.

And if there isn't a BM, there's a Zhen party taking the spot.

There's actually a decent selection of mobs to grind on. It's just that people only know the popular ones. Like in the 80s, everyone knows abuot the Wolves, Spiders, and Cougarets. However, there's also Oreliths which are slightly north of the Wolves. Earth based melee mobs that give deent exp. Cragrock Warriors work too, but the spawn is a bit limited and the Minion of Death World Boss lurks near them. The only requirement for AOE grinding is that the mobs are melee. Try experimenting and looking for places people don't go. I rarely saw anyone at the Oreliths whenI used to grind/justice quest on them.
