or can i skip the majority of them and just GRIND HARD..but always keeping up 2 date with my culti and doing my fbs??????

you can ignore quests... but you loose out on some nice items early levels and also on a lot of xp/sp as rewards.

if you're going to grind mobs why not take a quest that rewards you for killing them

The main problem is reputation. Almost all the quests below level 19 need to be done before you have enough rep for FB19 and cultivation. At 29 there's a little more room to skip, but the 29 cultivation is already long enough that you end up being level 30 or so by the time you finish unless you die alot, feed your genie, or get help with most of it. Through till 46 or so you can spend more time grinding, but yeah, as the previous poster mentioned, you might as well get exp/coin rewards from killing those mobs you're grinding on (or those nearby).

There will be plenty of grinding later on. Quests are supposed to be a change of pace from grinding since they force you to fight things that your normally wouldn't, or go to places you havn't been to yet. Even if the thought of grinding endlessly makes you happy, you'll be doing enough of that post 50 to make you want to take a break every few weeks. It's not uncommon for people grinding for a herc/phoenix to get enough from grinding, play with their new pet a few days, then leave for months because they are sick of grinding and no longer have a purpose.

Yes, it is possible to grind from 1-50, but, as someone else said, you miss out on XP/SP boosts from quests, and, more importantly, you miss out on rep. If you don't do quests, you might not have enough rep to do your FBs.

If you choose to not do quests outside of Cultivation and FBs at least do yourself a favor, and do One Man Army quests to keep your rep up.

Not quite true veno's no matter what the build chosen will tend to level faster than many other classes grind wise. A veno with a leveled golem and skills as up-to-date you should be able to grind on monsters higher level than you easily enough. Not to mention grinding air mobs after level 30 is very good XP and tend to give NPCable DQ, fruit, and meats. Don't see anything bad about grinding for XP and coins if that's the intent the original poster. I did that on my other veno until I realized that I really needed the rep from doing the quests when I couldn't get the rank 2 stuff later without 1k rep or do my FBs which sucked.

Like omglazers said at the very least get the 1 man army quests at your level while you grind to get some rep if you don't want to do the others. A little rep from doing these is better than getting none at all. Although I must say the grind gets boring after doing hours of it on end. Generally I find the quests help break it up a little and and give some rather nice items as rewards. The best part is getting in a good squad from my faction or others doing the same quest and knock it out super quick; that makes the game fun. And that's what playing a MMO like PW is all about :D
