Its best you go for it, I want to use fists too, yet I will go for it. What I am thinking about.... This is my first BM btw. Just going to make my fist BM hybrid (vit/dex) built.

    STR requirements on fist/heavy equipments
    rest points on VIT/DEX
And leveling my fist skills up to the max going to sage b:pleased

I find at least requirements for fist/claw and light/heavy armor would be helpful

    What build is your BM?

Thanks for Flauschkatze for siggy b:cool

VIT > STR > DEX > MAG... GG
HA > LA > AR... GG

    HA + VIT = win b:bye

    Heavy armor!
Light Bm's are trouble. You will have huge survivability issues with low Pdef and Low HP, Not a good combo.

For a fist build your really gonna wanna go something like.

5str/4dex/1vit every two levels, or, at least a 5str/5dex split, if you dont really think you will need the extra VIT.

As a Melee class Toon, you fight in close, meaning lots of the attacks you take will be physical, that is why heavy is a must. Leave the light armors for the ranged classes.
Don't let my level confuse you. I've done this before.

I don't have the time to calculate exact numbers, but it seems like this would give you roughly the same base evasion as a "pure-DEX" archer (since BM gets more evasion points per DEX point). It would possibly be a little less. It would certainly be less evasion than an archer's with their 30 minute buff up. When mobs get close enough to my archer, he takes hits pretty frequently, but he gets a lot of misses too (usually 1/4 of the attacks evaded if the info on the heads-up is to be believed). I'm going to guess that this build would raise your evade chance by at least 15%. I think that roughly equates to the difference between base damage resistance of heavy and light armor. You would want to check those assumptions as well as the effect of Bell on the difference (it might go either way), but this looks like it might not be as crazy as it seems.

    Some things to consider:
    1) your evasion chance will have streaks where it fails (and ones where it works more often too), so your survivability against physical attacks will be more random than most BMs.

    2) your choice of one more point than equipment requires into STR may be costing you. It will give you a bit more damage and a tiny improvement in HP at some cost to your crit and evasion rates (if it went into DEX instead). Usually, if you are going to try to get an advantage by loading an unusual stat, you have to go all out. On the other hand, VIT might be a better use of this point - particularly in the early levels and also because you have to count on some bad luck with misses.

Good luck and have fun with it.

since you are adding 2 str, 3 dex. I suggest to get hold of a bow as you will be able to use good ones as you have good dex.

The bow, you can use it for luring mostly (20m range) and do some damage while the mob gets closer to you.

5 STR | 4 DEX | 1 VIT every two levels is pretty much the best you can go for pure Fist user, other than that 6 STR | 4 DEX is another build, but you maybe / maybe not will find problems with it.

OW MY EYES. Run-on sentence ;(.

Yeah fist is 5str/4dex/1vit or 5str/5dex you chose. get 52 str by lvl 20 and then add 5 every even level(or else you wont have the right str)

Fist is good for fun, and pretty good 1v1, but u will not be able to PvE well at all and you have to deal with hitting 100s on your level @ lvl 45(including mages)

I wouldnt suggest going fist, If u want a good build with fast attacks and high dex, go fist-build sword BM. its 5str/4dex/1vit(cap vit@ 30), You use a single sword(or blade)((With higher dex, you would rather have more crits than a little higher dmg(with same DPS). if u want high sword dmg, go 2x blade with (I think) 6 str/3dex/1 free.

As a fist BM, you will get hell ALL THE TIME. Just like lvl 4x LA mage >.< You won't level fast and you wont rlly be wanted in grinding groups. Fist is a tough class, much like the LA Bow barb >.<
