General Summers longbow or Penetrator

Am about to turn level 50 and I wonder if I should pay 700k for the general summers bow that I cant even sell :(....or I should use my sinister shooter till level 53 and get the penetrator bow. Which is better? PLease help.

    1. i bought iron hammer for 400kb:laugh
    2. you HAVE TO(you can chose not to) open the lvl 50 supply stash
    3. just use GSL till you get to 53. not a big deal.

    I use the long bow even at lvl 60 just for when I wanna help others and not waste my bolts :P

    I have a question, what does AttackLv +1 give?
    I havent seen that add on any other weapon.

    Attack lv+1 gives like 1% more attack or something doesnt it?
    Well it adds a percentage.

    1% more damage if i recall correctly

    personnaly I think penetrator is a waste and hmmm buy the hammer is worth it for later so buy that hammer and keep leveling!

    one of the highest archers on sanc lol. won first caption contest. i wouldnt call this his forum though o.O its more like mine.

    back on topic, use penetrator till 70 when you can get unicorn which has way better atk :P

    Not sure about Lost City, but the Penetrator is extremely expensive on Sanctuary, and You are lucky to get one for under 4-5m. If you can get the Penetrator, it is much better than General Summer's Longbow. I used the Summers bow until lvl 53, at which time I am using Penetrator. Mine is Refined +3, and has 2 Average Garnets in it, yet mine is Dex+8, not Dex+9. It does much higher damage than the General Summer. The Main choice is to spend or not to Spend.

    Ok tks for all the reply. AS to why I dont refine the sinister shooter and use it to level 60, I personally hate slingshots and Iv had sinister shooter since level 42. Am quite sick of it. I think Ill get the general summers longbow since I want to open supply chest at level 55. I'll switch to penetrator when am level 53. To spend isnt much of an issue on the penetator since I can sell it back and get my money back. ZTo bad I cant do that with the longbow b:sad

    Umm... before General Summer's Bow, I can understand the desire for the Penetrator when money isn't really as much of a concern, but GSB has attack lvl +1 which pretty much compensates for the damage difference, IMO.

    Ever price out a +1 attack level soulgem?

    Loved grinding with my SS (+1 w/2 G6 garnets), but GSB does better, and having the random debuff is another nice bonus.

    As a side, I already crafted a Solarslayer to +3 and have 1 G7 flawless garnet in it so far, should have the other one by the time I hit 61 and might end up +4ing it. Now *that's* a weapon worth paying for, especially if you don't want to refine a Swiftwind to decompose later (which I've already crafted... lol) I got the mold cheap, so I should be able to break even on it... even if I don't, 60's on HL is like 80's on LC, so it'll definitely be nice.
