Does being a full support cleric require you to add VIT at all? If so, what's a good cap?

That would be the case, if you want to heal and survive youll need Vit as much as you can get.
    So again yes

Eh......I did not start adding Vit until much later on.

And even now my vit is only at around 50 (without armor and weapon mods). HP shards go a long way in helping and survivability.

And you can survive early on without adding a significant amount of vit, you can heal yourself after all. Besides, later on most of the mobs become mag versus phys which is perfect for us clerics.

After all you need the mag to increase your attacks and healing power. The more mag you have the more you can heal, since they all heal for an amount + a % of your base magic.

IF you insist on adding some vit now you can always change your distribution to something like: 8 mag, 1 str, 1 vit or 6 mag 1 str, 2 vit per two levels. This is versus the full support/full arcane build of 9 mag, 1 str every level. U]Keep in mind 1 vit = about 10-14 hp[/U

well, at this point i'm at 3 vit and str for robes. so thats like 200ish mag now. i was just wondering because i saw a post earlier that said that FAC clerics are oneshot by PVE bosses' AoEs, so i was wondering where a threshold is for survivability.

As a former FAC i must say: this is not true. If you care about your equipment, you can survive in pve. It's just pointless. Equipment is going to be too expensive and effects of additional mag stats just don't worth it.
As for "threshold", judge on your hp. For 1-1 HH, you must have at least 2k hp barb-buffed; for 1-2 - 2.5k, for 1-3... about 3k IIRC.

Yeah. I just started this game but from my experimentation in duels...VIT is the only way to go tbh.

I find that since I have near double the health of my counterparts, and still wearing level 1 gear (no i am not kidding) I can merely outlast everyone I duel. There is no doubt that vit stacking is great. But I wish VIT was a stat that was a requirement on some gear, or even better, I really wish that they made gear without the required stats, it would bring so much more creativity.

I went up against a really well geared cleric of the same level, he had his actual level gear and me in my 100% VIT stacking with gear thats from level 1 startup, and I smoked him.

Until this stops working for me. I am a VIT stacker. With sadly no gear.

You don't need much Vit. if you stand back and just heal and apply your buffs and don't forget to kite.
Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.

yeah...I dont really want to pve tho,
I just want to survive every duel I fight.

Playing WoW on Arthas had me leading a pvp guild for 5 years running so im really into pvp.

    PvP is all I know.
The only question really is, how to keep my mana regen up while grinding.
Since I have so much vit and no magic, the only thing that helps is when a high level player comes and buffs me with that regen buff, I think its a cleric spell, and i really need to know when i can get it myself! Oh god i love that buff

I'm of the mind that Support minded clerics need some HP, as a dead cleric does no one any good. lol

I'm pretty much a 1 str, 2 vit, 7 mag every two lvls (not exactly but close), and I don't have any issues living through stuff, and my magic is high enough to keep a tank's charm from ticking if I have no lag. I haven't been to TT 1-3 or higher yet (I hate TT lol), but I had no issues living through anything the AOE bosses in 1-2 threw out when I did those runs in the 60s. I need to do some higher runs if I can bring myself to do it to see if I can live through it. lol
