Reducing time spent Red?

So it says on the official pwi site: "Killing monsters at or above your level will reduce the duration of being infamous." I did a number of searches and couldnt find any more information than that. So what I am wondering is how much does each monster take off your time?

Also, I heard a rumor that every time you die while red, it takes time off your infamous timer as well. Is this true? Please clarify these issues for me if you have any information. Thanks!

    If you die while being infamous, your name will still stay red. Otherwise that would be just stupid, get 1 guardian angel, tell someone to kill you and pouf your name is no more red.

    100 kills of a mob at your level or higher takes away an hour of infamous. I've also heard rumors of killing other red names to lower your red name count... but I really dunno about that one. I usually just set up a cat shop for the night and I'm generally white in the morning :D
